In the morning, I woke up to the sound of my alarm, and Meredith purring. I looked at the clock, 7:30, good, Teagan shouldn’t be up for another half hour. I showered, and changed into black Soffe shorts and a red and white striped tank top. I blow dried my hair, and put it into a low ponytail. I put on a little makeup, and then went into the kitchen, where I started making Teagan’s favorite, heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes. I warmed up the syrup, and started some bacon. I put two strips of bacon and one pancake on Teagan’s plate, and put a glass of orange juice next to it.

Then, I walked to her room, and knocked, opening the door. She was wide awake, playing with her iPod, probably Flappy Bird. She was wearing a bright blue tank top with a little cat on it and hot pink jean shorts. She smiled when she saw me.

“Tay! Is everything okay? I saw you last night!” She asked, worried.

“Ya, Teag, everything’s okay.” I said, and grabbed her brush. I brushed her hair, and put it in a French braid.

“But, I-I saw you cry?” She said, but it was more like a question.

“Teagan, everything’s okay, sometimes you need to cry in order to smile.” I said, tying off her braid with a pink ponytail holder.

“I’m sorry Sissy.” She said, and gave me a hug.

“It’s not your fault, Teag.” I said, hugging her back. I was on my knees, but I was still taller than her.

“I love you, Taylor.” She said. I smiled, my chin on her little shoulder, and hers on mine. I felt her smile, too. I let one tear drop down my cheek and onto her shirt.

“I love you, too, Teagan.” I said, and broke away from her, wiping my tears, “I made you your favorite breakfast!”

“Yay!” She said, grinning, and ran out to the table. I sat across from her, and poured some syrup on my pancake. I picked up my Skinny Vanilla Latte that Selena had dropped off before I woke up. It was a little cold, but I appreciated the thought. I ate my pancake first, and then dipped my bacon in the extra syrup, just like Teagan was doing. I smiled at her, and took the last sip of the latte. I made Teagan drink the rest of her orange juice, and then put her dishes in the sink.

I told her to get the laptop, and logged into the online school for her. I set the laptop on the table, and handed her backpack to her. She got out her pink Beats SoloHDs, and plugged them into the laptop. She grabbed out her puppy notebook and a mechanical pencil. I watched as she learned, while I cleaned the table and the kitchen. Even though there’s room service, I wanted to clean. After two hours, Liam knocked, and Selena followed him in. Teagan looked up from her work, and smiled. She took her headphones off, and looked at me, as if asking if she could be done.

“Finish that lesson.” I said, and she nodded, putting her headphones back on. Selena smiled, and Liam smiled, too. He was wearing swim trunks and a t-shirt, and Selena was wearing a neon green bikini with a cropped white top and light washed high-waisted shorts.

“How are you doing?” Selena asked. Liam looked at me, too.

“I’m fine, I just want to get to the water park to get my mind off of things.” I said, honestly.

“That’s probably a good idea.” Liam said, “I invited the boys, and they’re all coming.”

“When’s your show?” I asked.

“Well, our next show is in two days, in Nashville. We’re done here.” He said.

“Do you guys need to get to Nashville?” I asked, not wanting to hold them up from rehearsing, yet wanting him to stay with me.
