I can only be strong for so long

Rye has taken hits and blows before from abuse and many other things he's never once broke down he always saw himself as the strong one. Then when roadtrip came along he had Andy,Brooklyn ,mikey and Jack to be strong for. However something bad happens and he finally breaks down you can only be strong for so long.

7 years old

Not many people knew that Rye had a sister. He had one. But on one fateful day in Winter she collapsed blood trickling from her nose. She had been diagnosed with Cancer, leukaemia . Rye knew he couldn't let her see his fear, he was a man. So he smiled through every visit to that dreaded ward. Until on the 24th December she died in her sleep. She died at 12 years old. Rye then supported Robby who was her twin.

10 years old
His mum and dad began abusing him rye still has no clue why. He assumed because he was there in his sister final moments. Marianna was someone he was extremely close to he thought he deserved this. It was his fault she had cancer.

12 years old
His mum died under mysterious circumstances. Sammy and shaun had been born as twins and Rye was abused mentally and physically. He used foundation and concealer to cover his injuries. He still smiled

13 years old
In y9 rye was bullied. He was spanish and for some reason people hated that. "Immigrant!" And "f*g" were used to describe him now. His dad wouldn't help. Shaun and Sammy were 1 what could they do. Once his dad tried to push them down the stairs Rye had jumped to push them out of the way. He broke his arm on that day. He still smiled.

16 years old

His dad was losing his memory and had started abusing Shaun and Sammy who were 4. Rye protected them it was his fault. He still smiled.

17 years old

As much as Rye hated his dad , when he died he was upset he still smiled. His friend's left him he was left with Shaun and Sammy as he was 18 the next day. He still smiled

19 years old.

Rye joined Roadtrip. Robby, his brother, lost his job and moved back home ill. Now rye had to keep taking breaks and Blair wasn't happy. He just said " i feel ill." Each time. He still smiled. He had to be strong for 7 people now.
20 years old .
Robby died from his disease Rye never knew what it was. He never would. He organised the funeral as Shawn and Sammy were put into his care. At this rate he would have to leave Roadtrip. Rye passed the weeks they stayed as 'they want to see you!' He still smiled.

21 years old

Shawn and Sammy were killed in a terrorist attack. Ryes last family was gone. His future gone. Rye was there he was there in the town square as it happened he tried to save the two he did. But the paramedics pronounced them D.O.A

Rye walked he didn't know his brothers were dead. His phone rang as he walked through the door still smiling.

He answered.

Then at that moment Rye fell to the floor as his phone smashed he's never cried before. Heavy sobs racked his body as he struggled to breathe. He began to punch things in agony. His knuckles bled and his face a mess. The boys ran into the room shocked at Ryes appearance. They desperately asked what happened.

No answer.

They huddled round Rye as the truth finally came out. Every single things from when his life changed drastically at just 7 years old. The boys cried for Rye's horrific life.

"Rye babe why didn't you say? You can only be strong for so long." Andy comforted. Kissing him softly on his cheek. He sniffled trying to get air back to his lungs.

He repeated the words

"You can only be strong for so long."

I live near Manchester personally and I'm devastated people I know were at this concert all of them thankfully ok it's insane to see this so close to home. So for that I just wanna say my heart goes out to the families and friends along with Arianna although media shouldn't just go on about arianators it has affected more than just them. Thanks xx
