In the shadows (Jai Brooks Fan Fic)

Chapter 3 ~ March 26th 2013

Jai and I lay on the floor of his room. His arm placed under my head as a makeshift pillow. It isn't the most comfortable of pillows but it meant I was closer to him. Our outside hands entwined, playing with each other's fingers not caring for much else other than each other. As I looked over at Jai I realised he had closed his eyes, savouring the rear moment we had alone, and so I closed my eyes gently.

I woke up the most horrendous headache. Bang... What was that? I slowly sat up, as not to wake up Jai. Maybe I was just imagining it, so I lay back down to rest with Jai.

Bang... There it is again!? This time I definitely did not imagine it. The noise seemed to be coming from the room next door. But there was no other sound. I looked to Jai, who looked like he would wake up any second. Bang...This time it was considerably louder. Jai's eyes started to open...

I plucked up the courage to stand up and investigate. Taking a long deep breath, I ran and dived for the lights, not wanting to look in the cupboard before the light was on. But there was nothing. My racing heart calmed a little, with the sound of Jai's soft laughter comforting me, until...Bang. I jumped into Jai's arms, we started to realise it sounded like large doors slamming or furniture being pushed along a wooden floor

"It's coming from Skip's room..." With it came another voice-I flushed. My cheeks going so red, that I could pass for a perfectly ripe tomato.

"Oh, Daniel" someone chuckled. A woman. "You're so dirty". Jai and I looked at each other in shock. I got up and moved to his followed by the groans I didn't want to hear. Bang...I grabbed the biggest pillow I could find and tried to muffle the sound by smothering myself with it. Bang...But it didn't work. Bang... "Naughty boy" the woman said, with no doubt a smirk on her face. Jai got up and joined me on the bed. We both lay on our back, our eyes wide awake as if matchsticks were placed there to keep them open. I almost pulled my hair out in frustration as I was forced to listen to what seem to go on forever.

I woke face to face with Jai. "Well that was an eventful night" He said in an extremely sexy sleepy voice.

"Yeah, wasn't in my top ten it has to be said" I spoke back. "I'm going to get some Breaky, Want some?"

"Are you offering to make me breakfast in bed?" Jai asked with a wink.

"Do you really think that I would do that? Let alone ask that" I exclaimed in an overly exaggerated tone.

"True, very true" Jai said "I'll come". We walked out of his room in the clothes we had been wearing the day before. We wondered down the hall and to the kitchen. Standing whilst leaning on the work top with a bowl of cereal in his hand was Skip. He was wearing nothing but a tight pair of boxers.

"Don't look Megan! You'll be scared for life" Jai shouted as he covered my eyes from behind.

"I already am after last night" I said as I pulled Jai's hands away. "Anyways, Skip! What the fuck was going on last night? Did you have someone over?" I sternly said whilst talking directly to Skip.

"I wouldn't get on the wrong side of her today!" Jai interjected. "She is a bit grouchy after not having much sleep last night".

"Answer the Question cunt" I said. If I did not get a reply I had the right mind to march into Skip's room and look for myself.

"Yes, I did have someone over" Skip answered whilst high-fiving Jai.

As I turned around to storm off, a blond girl walked past with the shirt Skip was wearing last night on. She wasn't the skinniest of girls, but I wouldn't say she was out of Skip's league either. She waddled straight up to Skip, Slapped him on the arse and said "Babe, thanks for last night, but I got to go...like...now!" And at that she was gone.

"Wow, she seems like a bundle of fun" I pouted.

"Oh, believe me she was amazing" Skip added snarkily. My face turned as a sick feeling arose from my stomach. I opened the fridge to find something to eat, but I didn't feel like it. I am too disgusted at the thought off...Eww.
