Keith's POV

I woke up groggy and sore. I blinked my eyes, taking in the scene before me. I started panicking.

I was tied to a table, with my arms restrained. Someone was beside me, messing with something on a table. I snarled.

"Let me go! What are you doing? LET ME GO!" I said wriggling against my restraints. The figure took no notice. They continued readying a syringe. I screamed and yelled until my voice went dry. The figure turned around. I saw their face as they smiled creepily. "What're yo-" I began. But they stuck the syringe in my neck.
I yelled. Everything went blurry, my body felt numb. I started to feel angry, hatred and rage boiling in my veins. I couldn't figure out why.
Suddenly my whole body went slack, and everything went black again.

Lance POV

We started flying in towards the ship, going underneath to avoid being detected. My heart was beating fast, my face set with determination. Whether he liked it or not, I was getting him out of there. Saving my damsel in distress. I thought smugly going faster in my Lion. We arrived in a group underneath, and Pidge raised me to an opening underneath the ship. I hopped out, hearing her silent good luck and responding with a nod. I turned, and ran down the hall.

I rushed down halls and looked in room after room, silent, avoiding confrontation with the drones. I went to floor after floor, but I still couldn't find him. Finally, I made it to a control room, taking a rest and contacting Pidge.

"I can't find him, Pidge. Can't you pinpoint his location or something?" I asked desperately.

"Luckily for you, I already have." They replied.

"Pidge you absolute angel." I chimed, relieved.

"I know. Go down one more floor, down the hall. He's in one of the rooms." They said.

"Copy that." I said, determined. I ran out of the room, and followed Pidge's instructions.

I checked every room I came across. I almost ran out of hope, until I saw him. Standing in one of the rooms. I called out to him.

"Keith! Keith! It's me, Keith!" I said walking towards him. He was wearing a black suit. It looked very odd, with magenta orbs attached all over it. I saw him tense up, turning his head. Something was really, really wrong. His usually indigo irises glowed an unnatural yellow. He flicked out his bayard sword.

And then he was running at me.
