The tour was going great.
Now that all the girls liked me, there was no awkwardness or tension filling the air. Good thing, too, because no one could escape the very limited amount of air trapped within this bus.
"Oh my God! What is that?" her enrapturing laugh filled the air, mine soon falling in harmony with hers.
This is a much better aura surrounding us than what it used to be, and I appreciate every day of it.
"I look like a serial killer!" I joked, earning another whole-hearted from my friend. Even though it's only been a week since we've been on good terms, I'm still considering her a friend. I mean who would laugh like this together if they weren't at least friends?
"What's the next one look like?" Lauren asked eagerly, reaching for my phone that I was holding and choosing the next option.
We found this one app where it takes a picture of someone and puts a couple filters on. There's only a couple; two different smiles, a younger and older version, and a man and woman version. Despite it being extremely simple, it still managed to be incredibly funny.
The second smile filter loaded on my face, and it was much weirder than the first one. We both broke out into laughter, then I asked, "Why do I look so creepy?"
"You look like a pervert!" she laughed, throwing her head back on the couch.
"Shit, I do!" I agreed, laughing with her in a similar manner.
We went through the filters, constantly giggling at the weird pictures of me. I made Lauren do the filters after me, and we got a crack out of them as well. Clicking through the filters in order, we eventually got to the one that altered her to look like a man, and we had different reactions this time.
"Shit, I'm hot as a guy," she said surprised.
"Damn, Lauren," I exaggerated in agreement.
"I'd date me," she nodded sarcastically.
"With a face like that, I'd date you, too," I concurred.
She flipped her hair in a sassy manner and looked at me, "Are you saying you wouldn't date me now?"
I scrunched my face to pretend like I was thinking about her question, but quickly answered, "Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying."
Lauren's mouth dropped, a noise that sounded like a mixture of a scoff and a chuckle emitting her red lips, and said, "Wow, that's incredibly rude of you. I don't know if I can associate with you after deeply offending me." She crossed her arms and turned away from me, giving me her back.
Playing along, I fell at her mercy and pouted, "No, Lauren, I'm sorry!" I threw my arms around her and rested my head on the back of her shoulder. "Please forgive me."
"I don't know, Y/N. You really hurt my feelings," she exaggerated.
"Let me make it up to you!"
"And how do you plan on doing that?" she quirked an eyebrow at me.
"I'll do anything you want!" I begged.
"Really?" she dragged out, acting like she were interested.
"Yes, of course!"
"Hmm," she seemed to be in thought. Apparently coming to a resolution, she concluded, "Then you have to buy me ice cream after the show tonight."
"Deal!" I enthused, pretending to be overly happy that I can 'make it up' to her.
"Great! Sounds like a plan," she smiled cheekily at me.
"Yep! It's a date," I pulled back from hugging her to wink at her, causing her to attempt to stifle her chuckles.
