Entry 20: Trouble

The world was in peril, I am desperately trying to save lives and keep people faithful. Destruction is everywhere, the tears start to fall and the world is in chaos. There are some wars and battles I could understand, World War Two, the War on Terror, even the Battle of Hoover Dam in a video game franchise, those are understandable, a means to kill humanity's evils. However, this... this was a war for the sake of war. Unnecessary bloodshed, the slaughter of the innocent and no one was safe.

Death was already wiping millions by the second my angels are literally decaying in her presence and there are few squadrons left to prevent Shinra from prematurely ending me and Earth as we know it. I know it's bad out there, but I have to fight if there's any chance for humanity's survival. First I must ensure the safety of Daisy my wife doesn't know, but she can bring the world back her tears can restore earth back to beauty.

As I approached the reaper's outpost the devastation left in their wake left little to the imagination, I knew what Reapers were supposed to do, but the Reapers that didn't defect from her plan left a horrible trail of gore and skulls.

I decided to write to Daisy if she wondered about my whereabouts.

Dear Daisy,
I instructed Claude to initiate security protocol Gamma 5- Epsilon, if you are reading this Daisy the war is not your fight. the end of time has begun and I decided to keep you safe in my office. Claude was specifically instructed to keep you out of harm's way. Lives need saving and sadly Death needs to be stopped she is too dangerous. I will try my best, upon your request, to bring her back to sanity, but understand that if I fail I'll be forced to kill her. I'm sorry Daisy... if anything should happen to me and Death permanently kills me press the red button it will reset this world and I will have reformed. It'll disrupt space and time ultimately causing an anomaly that will reverse the effects of the war. Alternatively, I have done some research on your powers your tears can heal what is dying, and rejuvenate the living. Sadly your tears cannot revive the fallen. Other Angels will have to be created or made through reproductive means. God should be able to instruct you on the better method. In the case that no angel or reaper survives aside from you, you are the new Life and have full use of my office. If I pass away the code to disarm the security lockdown will be given to you. Since our honey moon I've secretly casted a spell that will conceal the password from you until I either disarm it myself or I pass. I know this isn't what you wanted but losing you is worse than me dying. Besides I have only taught you combat skills for traditional field missions this is no such task. If I die I just want you to know how much you meant to me and in the safe under my desk you will find a gift I had been meaning to give to you for your promotion, it's kind of both a romantic gift and a congratulatory gift, but I know you'll cherish it.
                                                                 Love,
                                                                 Life

Daisy read the letter and realized her situation much too late when she entered my office. She begged Claude to open the doors but Claude refused. Now all that is left is for the showdown, the clash of titans, and former friends. I figured this day would come, when Lucifer and the horseman would try and war with Heaven. I just wasn't expecting it to be now. Guess they weren't kidding saying Life isn't always a walk in a garden. I have to execute the guards before fighting Death if they free Satan, who knows what'll be left of the human race.
