Entry 18: Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was an interesting little trip on earth. Sure heaven is perfect and all but sometimes the wings need stretching and the earth some redecorating. The beaches of Hawaii and the Philippines did the trick. First we traveled to Hawaii the locals were very festive and Daisy urged me to wear a hula skirt and dance in their luau. I obliged, some mortals in the United States are more fun than others(Kansas that's right you are by far the most boring state, what do you guys do for fun watch cows, stare at the vast plains of nothingness? Boring!). Any who, after the luau we had lunch Daisy was somewhat nervous to try any of the food that was a delicacy to Hawaiians, but after some jokes and convincing kisses later, she managed to clear her plate and a second to boot. That's the beauty of trying new things, if you enjoy it you could do more of it, or eat it in her case. I made sure to reward Hawaii for their hospitality. I went to their most impoverished area and built durable houses and planted a garden that would never catch blight. They'd have money for years to come and the homeless now had a home in Hawaii.

Then we were off to the Philippines, it wasn't that far a trip when you have wings and no one can see how fast you are going. The Philippines is by far a beautiful country, that is until political agendas kinda made the mortals there in the city stink a bit. However, the beauty of nature there still remains intact. I took Daisy by the hand to the white sand beaches and clear waters of the island. The sand is pure white untouched by most of man, no pollution, air is crisp and clean. Most beautifully of all the sea was crystal clear and the water safe to open your eyes in. You could see the fish swim in confusion as you enter their home, then as if you were apart of the scenery they would swim around you carrying on. It was a more peaceful celebration than that of Hawaii. I didn't have to put on a hula skirt for one, and now we get to enjoy the sounds of nature. The ebb and flow of the waves just in time for a sunset. The mix of reds, oranges, and purples makes it seem almost as if an artisan painter captured the perfect sunset while sitting on the sands of paradise.

"This truly is a remarkable evening Daisy." I said.

"I know! I'm secretly glad to be away from paperwork for once." Daisy said.

"Says the girl who organized my entire office when we first met." I laughed.

Daisy is barely there when I laugh, but when she heard it there for the first time she couldn't help but laugh too. Laughter is a contagious and pleasant feeling. It helps you progress in life especially when DEATH KEEPS KNOCKING ON MY OFFICE DOOR! Seriously take it up with my secretary.

"I wonder how well Claude is taking care of our office?" Daisy inquired.

"Here honey let me call him, poor thing volunteered for a job he didn't know the true chaos of. Guess that's wedding emotions messing with the circuits." I said as Daisy giggled.

I pulled my phone out and called Claude my substitute Life for the day. Otherwise he's my secretary.

Ring! Ring!

"Hello Master Life! How is your honeymoon going? Swell I hope." Claude said in a burst of emotion.

" Oh we're having a lovely time, how are things upstairs?" I asked him.

"Sir, this job is an AI's worst nightmare so much filing that just can't be downloaded. Souls are trickier than my machinery, stamp this one, seal this one, this one is being marked with the beast..." Claude realized what he had said.

"Sir... the 1,000 year reign is beginning... I'm sorry that I kept this from you, but you needed to enjoy your marriage. I'll update you with more after the honeymoon, although Lucifer is in his cage. That explains the hospitality, God is letting the land go for a bit without devilish influence. But sir the Lord he's..." Claude paused as if mourning.

Claude was shaking I knew he was John saw what happened and he feared for the earthlings down here but also of Hades and Death. What would become of them?

"I won't tell Daisy. She doesn't need to know this, not tonight. I will tell her to stay in my office on the last day of the reign the battle is going to be huge." I said in a tongue Daisy couldn't understand.

She shouldn't know what's going to happen, that I Life will have to eradicate all death in this world so that all who believe may live. The End is happening, but who could've broken the seals? Sure I get 1,000 days of peace in heaven time. But time flies in heaven, no pun intended.

"Life, you look uneasy come to the tent we made, let's go to sleep." Daisy beckoned me over.

I was stiff at attention even though I knew what was coming Daisy always had a way of calming people. On that night we consummated our marriage. Fortunately angels don't have a need to reproduce, but on earth it only feels right to. The consummation of our marriage which after three hours of fun exhausted us both and we fell asleep. It's good in a way so that mortals do not suspect us of being spiritual beings created by God, because arousing suspicion is not a good idea they might start worshipping us as Gods and the big man does not like that.
I hoped The End could have been years later, but when the Lord is ready everything is on the table and sin soon will be erased.
