A glowing orange hue layered the horizon, shining brighter as it raised in the sky. The trees shivered as the cool winter wind blew. The river was frozen from the cold atmosphere. Snow littered everywhere, and a girl was sitting down on a rock. She, surprisingly, wasn't cold despite wearing a summer dress. Her long obsidian hair complimented her pale complexion, and her eyes were snap shut, calmly listening to nothing but the sound of nature.
"Miyu!" a panicked voice shouted. The girls eyes snapped open, revealing her galaxy eyes. They were odd, uncommon. They were dark blue, like the night sky, mixed with purple, and hints of white speckles in her eyes.
The girl stood up, and ran. The cool wind bit at her legs but she ran nonetheless. She ran towards the voice with calm expression on her face. The ebony haired girl stopped running when she heard footsteps and a relieved sigh. She looked at the person in front of her, raising an eyebrow at her tired servent.
"Suzuki-san?" the girls quiet voice spoke softly. The said girl jumped on the smaller girl, squeezing her tightly.
"Miyu-sama," Suzuki, her maid and servent, sighed. "I thought I told you to stay out of the forest. It's dangerous."
Miyu, feeling uncomfortable, tried to push Suzuki away slightly, trying not to shove her off. When Suzuki realized what Miyu was trying to do, she quickly stepped back and bowed. "My apologies, Miyu-sama."
"It's okay." Miyu sighed in relief. "Is there a reason why you didn't send the guards this time."
"Ah, ya see." Suzuki scratched her head nervously. "Your father request for you in the meeting room."
Miyu, despite knowing that if she was ever summoned it was urgent, calmly started walking towards her village. Suzuki quickly followed after her.

Walking into the village, the two guards at their posts bowed when Miyu and Suzuki. Miyu nodded her head and continued walking while Suzuki just walked behind her.
Miyu walked down the streets, everyone smiled, waved, or either bowed when she passed by, but she knew better. They were all fake, putting on a facade around her just because her father was the clan head. She hated it. It felt like everything she knew wasn't real, like she was living a lie.
"Miyu!" Suzuki exclaimed, waving her hand in front of Miyu's face. Miyu shook her head before she looked at Suzuki.
"We've arrived."
Miyu breathed in an inaudible breath before she exhaled and walked inside the building, which was her house. A blur tackled her, almost making her fall over, but she composed herself quickly before her features softened from their usual stoic look at the five year old in front of her.
"Kai," she patted his head. Kai, who was still hugging her tightly, talked with a muffled tone.
"Onee-chan, is it true." he looked up at her, making her raise an eyebrow at his question, well, demand.
"Is what true?" Suzuki panicked at her question. Knowing Kai, he would mess up the whole meeting and he'd have to be punished, but before Kai could answer, Miyu waved him off.
"You don't have to tell me." Miyu mumbled, kissing his forehead. Suzuki softened at the sight, and Kai blushed before pouting. "I have to go. Father is calling me to a meeting. Don't do anything bad or I will have to punish you, remember last time."
Kai nodded, she would probably scold him if he got in trouble and they'd get some dango after.
"I'll see you later." Kai waved her as she walked. Miyu almost turned around, there was sadness in his voice, and that meant something bad was going to happen.

The room was quiet and tense. The three figures standing were all staring at each other. One of the figures was a small girl, looking at her father and a person she's never seen before.
"So," the girls was quiet, her voice, despite it even being above a whisper, was monotonous and cold. Her eyes galaxy orbs piercing into her father's blue ones. The hate was rolling off of her like tilde waves. "You made an alliance with Konoha, I believe that's good. But, they wanted a something in return. A, how do I say this, way to seal the deal, is how they put it."
Her father, the head of the clan, nodded, watching her closely for any movements.
"You're stupid." she said bluntly. "You knew what the deal was, and yet, you still accepted. You even put me in your deal. You haven't thought about the consequences of putting someone from our clan in the village. They could steal information, use him or her as a battle weapon. Or rather should I say, me."
Her father stiffened, but looked at her to continue. "I'll go along with this, but if I have to fight against this clan one day, know that I will do as my new leader tells me. I should take Kai with me, but knowing you, I probably won't even be able to do that."
"Are you done," her father's voice spoke. "Are you done with your tantrum."
"I'm more than done. Let me go get my things. I'll leave you time to think about this." Miyu turned around and started towards the door. "Just so you know, if this clan falls because of your stupidity, I'm taking Kai, and some of the villagers that are actually smart enough to leave this clan."
She looked back when she opened the door. "We can't always rely on strength."
She left her father and the foreign ninja in the same quiet, tense silence.
