The clock blared. It's sound resonated through the room. The cover ruffled as the figure shifted under the blanket before sitting up. And there she was, Miyu Hoshiko, in all of her glory. She rubbed her eyes and hit the clock on the dresser next to her.
"Mm," she grunted, stretching her arms, and a satisfying crack could be heard as she popped her back. Sighing, she left her bed and headed towards her closet, picking out her regular attire, which consisted of black shorts that reached her knees and a black hoodie. Miyu went inside the bathroom, taking a shower while humming, brushing her teeth and putting on her clothes.
Suddenly, a bang was heard outside of her room. Miyu narrowed her eyes, grabbing her pouch and putting it on her back pocket. She cautiously opened the door slowly, making sure no creaks were heard. She heard more shuffling, which made her grab a kunai, she walked down the hall, her footsteps making no sounds as she arrived in living room. Miyu walked into the kitchen, and relaxed her grip on her kunai and sighed.
"Hey, kid." Miyu swiftly turned around, thrusting her kunai toward the voice but her hand was caught. "Ah, ah, ah."
Miyu grit her teeth as she noticed it was Anko who scared her, again. She sighed through her nose.
Miyu had been staying with Anko for a few days before she started the academy, just like the Hokage said, which was today, and Anko had been scaring her almost every day. It was irritating the heck out of her, and she was even beginning to think she should ask the Hokage for another guardian but decided against, no matter how annoying Anko was.
"Anko-san," her cold was laced with irritation. "please stop doing that."
"Ah, you're just like Ibiki, no fun at all." Anko released Miyu's hand before grabbing an apple off the counter and throwing it at her. "Here ya go, kid."
Miyu caught the apple with ease, and nodded to Anko in thanks. She walked to the door and grabbed her black zōri and put them on her feet. "Bye, Anko-san."
She walked out of the house and closed the door. She bit her apple and started walking down the street. The stares were back again but she just ignored them, like usual.
"Karma, wait up!" a voice screamed, it sounded like it was screeching banshee.
Miyu covered her ears. To most people, it shouldn't really be loud but to Miyu it was loud. Her hearing was sensitive because she enhanced it while she was in the forest alone, listening to every sound and trying to guess what animal it was. Turning to the scream, she saw two pink headed kids about around her age, maybe older than her by a year. One of them was a boy with short pink hair and jade eyes that was swimming with mischief by looking at him, she could tell he was Karma. He caught her staring and winked at her, to which she returned with a confused glare. The boy turned back to his sister, who was still screeching at him.
Miyu shook her head and continued her walk to the academy.

She lost her way to the academy two times while running into an adult that hated her clan at least three more times, they all ranted about how they hated her clan so much and one even threatened to kill her, which wouldn't be possible. Miyu may not be strong enough than the strongest person in world but her rage could make her kill anyone that got in her way.
Finally, she sighed as she looked at the building in front of her. She walked inside and saw a women at a desk looking like she would rather jump off a cliff that sit behind a desk but when she came in the women looked at her with hatred in her eyes. Not again, she closed her eyes before walking towards the desk.
"I'm here to see what class I'm in." Miyu kept it short and simple, just like she did when she was stopped by the villagers. Her voice and face gave away nothing.
The women put on a fake smile, and looked at some paper on the desk. "Ah, you're in Iruka's class. Go on."
Miyu sighed. It looks like she wouldn't get directions to the classroom, and that meant she'd get lost more than once, again. That wolf was wrong. I'm never going to experience those things he said, she frowned as she thought back to what the wolf said.

Well, at least she was right about one thing. She did get lost about four times, she could probably broke a world record on who could get lost the most in one day. Miyu always knew she was horrible with directions but she never knew how horrible. Miyu sighed, and looked at the door in front of her. Please be it, she pleaded.
Miyu raised her hand towards the shōji and opened it. She soon regretted doing so because the minute she did it, the teacher, Iruka, looked towards the door finding her with a blank stare.
"Oh," Iruka smiled. "You must be the new student. Please, come in."
Miyu noted that his smile was real and it reached his eyes. She walked in and noticed the stares but she just ignored it.
This is becoming a habit, Miyu thought as she looked blankly at the class. Iruka laughed nervously as Miyu then turned to him. "My name is Hoshiko Miyu."
Iruka's eyes widened and looked at he in slight fear but quickly shook his head and smiled again. Fake, she sighed.
"Why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" Iruka gestured toward the class who couldn't hear what Miyu was saying so they leaned in but leaned back when she looked at them.
"My name is Hoshiko Miyu."
Mostly everyone gaped at her, and she sighed again. She was sighing too much today; so troublesome.
