~Months later ~
Isabel's POV
"It's not furnished yet, so were sleeping on the ground for now."
"M - mom, i - it's shelter, I - I think w - we can handle s - sleeping on the floor for a s - smidge longer."
' Fuck the studdering!'
"come on lets go check out the house!" Ryan encouraged, letting Alex down from his arms.
"Ryan, after you check out the house make sure you go to bed. It's ten P.M. and you look exhausted." Mom he knows.
"Ya, don't' want to miss being a mascot all day, and sweat to death."
"It's just for now, you can quit when you have another one."
I hear little pitter patter of footsteps coming towards us.
"I - I bet he's r - ready to be seven a - already." I questionably asked Alex, as he lifts his arms for me to pick him up.mNow the little cupcake is in my arms. I know that I pick him up all the time, but I can't help but smile. He's hiding his bashful face in my neck's crevasse.
"Yes, sissy."
"All right boys, bedtime." and so they do.
"I want to talk with you, Isabel."
"O - Ok, let's sit."
" first off, thank you for leading us this far, and I'm sorry you had to do so."
"I was just more prepared than most." Huh, no studdering? that's a first in a long time.
Second of all, are you ready for school? You do have it tomorrow. " This feels normal for once.
"Ya, I - I am. Bags by the t - the d - door."
"Alright then, goodnight sweetheart." Gross, slobber on my forehead is not what I was aiming for. I'm not going to say anything though.
"N - night," I say, heading off to a random room to seek a floor I'd like to sleep on.
Ronny's POV
"Bye, see ya later."
"No! wait! You don't have to go to school today, I have to talk to you."
'I've got a bad feeling.'
"sweety, your father's not going to tell you this, but... He's not making enough at work, and were having trouble keeping the house." Bitch get your hands out of my hair and off my shoulders.
"What am I supposed to do about it?"
"I know a guy that can get you a job selling drugs."
"Look, I know I read medical books, but what if I get caught? Are you sure you want me doing this?"
'Am I really going to agree to this?'
"We don't have a choice."
"Alright then."
