The academy has a large campus that was split into four main buildings. Block A is for core subjects such as maths and science, B is for the arts, C is for humanities and D is for sports. I had gotten a free scholarship for their college programme in arts because of my grades from my previous school. Theresa hadn't been so happy about it seeing as acting isn't classified as 'a real job' but dad let me go because he knew I loved acting.

I take a quick look at the campus, it was so much bigger than my old school, and everything was so modern. Around me, students were beginning to pile into the academy, bunched in their pre made friendship groups. I didn't know anyone at the academy yet, I didn't even know anyone in this area, because I was-

"Oh! sorry! my bad"

A tall, dark boy with glasses bumps into my side, knocking my notepad on to the gravel path. He rushes to pick it up, dropping his glasses at the same time. I cover the smile growing across my face, watching him scurry across the ground frantically.

"No, it's fine, sorry, it's my first day here. I was just taking in the view"

I giggle, taking my notepad off of him as I help him to his feet. He brushes back his thick curly hair, crossing his arms across his chest awkwardly.

"Its mine too. I'm here for the performance scholarship, I'm guessing you are too?"

I nod, silently hoping I had made my first friend, maybe even more than that.

"Here, let me walk you to class. It's the least I could do"

He bows jokingly, causing his glasses to fall off of his head again. This time I couldn't stop myself from laughing aloud.

"What a gentleman, does he have a name?"

I smile widely, giving him an unladylike curtsy. He lets out a snort, pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose.

"I'm Maximus Winchester, what fine name does the Lady hold? A princess perhaps?"

"I'm Elliot, Elliot Dawson"
