My new house has a lot more space. I didn’t care. Katelyn felt bad that I didn’t care. I just wanted to go home. I wanted James back. I went to bed in my own room that night and Katelyn walked in.

“Tomorrow is a new day, Kynli. It’ll get better,” she reassured.

“I hope so. Thanks for letting me move in."

“No problem,” she smiled, turning off the light. “If you need me, my room is down the hall to the right.”

Kendall told me James came back to Audrey’s house at about midnight. I started crying as Katelyn left and tried my best to fall asleep since it was already two in the morning.

I woke up at ten and started torturing myself. I was listening to James singing. I even went to the extent of looking up videos on YouTube of just him singing. I switched to Hey Brother by Avicii to get my mind of everything when my phone vibrated. It was a text, but I didn’t know who it was from since the number was saved into my phone. I opened the text and ran to Katelyn’s room. She could help me.

“Katelyn? Are you awake?” I asked, knocking on her door.

“Come in! I was just finishing up reading.” I walked into her room and climbed on her bed, sitting next to her.

“How’d you sleep?” she asked, concerned.

“Best sleep I’ve ever had while sleeping in an almost new place.”

“That’s great! I was worried about you.”

“I’m fine. I got a text a few minutes ago. I’ll read it to you, but I don’t know who it’s from.” I opened up the text and started reading. “Kynli, meet me at 1975 West Applebrooke Lane at noon.”

“Let me see whose number it is.” I handed my phone to her, but she didn’t know who it was. “I’ll drive you to this place so you’ll be there at noon.” I gave her a hug and Erin walked in.

“Is anybody going to make me breakfast or do I have to make it myself?” she asked, jokingly. We all laughed and walked to the kitchen.

“Who wants an omelet?”

“Me!” Erin and I cheered.

“What do you want in it?”

“Pepperoni and cheese please,” I replied sweetly.

“I’ll just have cheese,” Erin smiled.

Katelyn went into the kitchen and fixed everything while Erin and I got out some grape juice and apple juice from the fridge.

“Hey Kynli, why don’t you call Logan? It’ll put your mind at ease,” Katelyn called over all of the noise we were making. I nodded and went to my room, shutting my door and dialing Logan’s number.

“Hello?” he answered.

“Hey, Logan.”

“Kynli! It’s you! I’m not used to not waking you up so you don’t miss breakfast.”

“Logan you’ve only stayed with us a few days and I’ve only been gone for one,” I giggled.

“I know, but I still miss you.”

“I miss you guys too.”

“James came back last night…”

“Cool I guess.”

“He misses you. I tried taking pictures with him but he wouldn’t let me.”

“That’s alright. I have tons of pictures of all of us.”
