"So he fell for it?" I ask Curly.

He nods his head quickly and then continues to suck on his thumb.

"Perfect. That Pirate really is dumber than I thought." I say as I grab my sword off the table in the map room.

I run down the wooden steps of the hideout and thought the hidden passage way out into the forest. I had ordered all the lost boys to stay in the hideout until further notice. I didn't need them to run into the pirates when I wasn't around.  Now I've just got to find where the Pirate Boy went.  Sure I may have let him escape. Staged the whole thing just so he could get lost in the forest and learn his lesson. I controlled everything on this island and he needed to figure that out. I look up to the lookout where Ace is watching over me.

"Blow the horn if he comes back this way. I'll be back as soon as I find him." I tell him. I see him nod and retreat back into the cover of the vines.

"Alright Pan. Lets go find pirate boy." I say to myself as I march off into the forest.

Of course, Pirate Boy would get lost in here. The trees did what I wanted when I wanted them too and I told them to make it seem like he was walking in circles. He must not be too far from the hideout. If he made it more than a mile i'd be impressed. I had to be honest though, I was worried. Not about Hook Jr of course. When I met with them they told me that if Hook actually found Pixie Hollow this time we could all be royally screwed. Pixie Hollow wasn't only the entrance to the NeverNever it was the source of all the island magic. Meaning my Magic specifically. I did not need Hook and his idiot crew messing up this place after thousands of years of peace.

I was just about to turn around and head West when I heard laugher. Laugher coming from the west was never a good thing. It meant that the mermaids were happy. Which made me not so happy. I stop and listen for a moment. I could hear them all carrying on about something. This did not sound good. They couldn't have gotten Pirate Boy could they?

"Pirate Boy!?" I yell. I run towards the shore and keep yelling for him. He had to be around here somewhere.I keep running closer and closer to the voices trying to figure out where they were coming from.

"Hook Jr?!" I scream again finally reaching the shore. Just as I break through the trees I see his shiny black hair fall beneath the waves. And of course Pearls blue tail following behind.

"For the love of fey." I sigh.

I run down the beach and jump into the water. I open my eyes and see them dragging him deeper and deeper into the lake. If they got him into their cave there was nothing I could do. I swim faster.

Of all the things to do he finds the Sirens.

Pearl comes up to face me. I push past her easily. They can't hurt me but once they get him into the cave my power over them ends. I swim faster and faster and finally grab onto his arm. He's dead weight in my arms but hopefully not dead yet. I kick the silver haired one in the head and she goes swimming away. I glare at the red haired one and she lets go of him swimming into the cave. Pearl comes charging at me but stops dead before she reaches me. She glares at me with pure hatred in her eyes. I swim to the surface as fast as I can dragging him with me. I break the surface and gasp for air. Thats one thing I couldn't do , breath underwater.

I pull him onto the shore and out of reach of the mermaids. He lies there limply in the sand. I press my head to his chest and realize he's not breathing.

'You've got to be kidding me." I slam my fist down on his chest. The universe hated me. My one chance to get the pirates to leave the island and he drowns.

A pirate drowns of all things?

I stare down at him, his shoulder length black hair wet and full of sand. His white t-shirt sticking to his body and he was missing a boot. This stupid pirate boy ruined everything.

I slam my hands on his chest again and again. I was so angry. How could I have been so stupid. He wasn't a Lost Boy. He wouldn't know to stay away from the shore and the Sirens. He doesn't know anything. I slam my fists down again. With a sigh of defeat I lower my head onto his chest and sit there for a moment. Then he begins to cough. I whip my head up and look down at him. He rolls over onto his side and coughs up some more water. I move back a little give him some space.

"Thank the fey." I sigh with relief.

He slick his hair back with his hand and looks up at me from his half sitting up position.

"Sirens, who would have thought?" He chuckles with a smile.

He was smiling at a time like this. Him and his stupid grin. I slap him on the shoulder. Very hard in fact and stand up swiftly cleaning off my knees from the sand.

"I though you died Hook Jr." I state not making eye contact.

He sits up straight and coughs up a bit more water.

"Well, I believe I did there for a second." He says with a smile again.

"What did I say about the smiling?" I snap at him.

He frowns and leans on a rock to try to stand up. I watch him closely as he struggles to stand and then flops back down into the sand.

"Well that was an interesting experience." He says. I glare at him and put my hands on my hips.

"Those were Sirens! Are you a complete idiot?" I questions him.

He laughs.

'Not a complete idiot. I figured it out once I was in the water. Actually once I heard your voice I assume calling out to me." He tell me.

I almost believe he's trying to thank me.

"I only saved you cause I need you Pirate Boy. Without you there no deal with your father." I confess, but I couldn't believe that that was the only reason.

"Oh calm down Pan," say Pearl. Who had been sitting there watching the whole thing along with the other sirens.

"Go away Pearl. This is the last of my friends you try to steal." I snap at her.

Pirate Boy look up at me surprised. Probably because I called him my friend. Or maybe he was confused why I was saying that there had been others. Lets not talk about that.

"Stop over reacting." The silver haired one tells me. I had never really felt like learning the other ones names.

"We were only trying to drown him." The red haired on confesses.

I roll my eyes at the lot of them and reach my hand out to the boy. He looks at my hand for a moment before grabbing it and I help him off the ground.

"Yeah, Pan. They were only trying to drown me." He says with a hint of sass in his voice.

I ignore him and gesture for him to follow me. He does and we begin out trek back to the hideout.

"Only trying to drown me. Everyone on this island is insane." He mumbles under his breath.

"What was that?" I ask looking over my shoulder.

He smiles sheepishly and runs his hand through his half wet hair.

"Thanks for saving me back there eh?" He says.

"Nice save." I chuckle.

"Actually thought. I would have died back there if it wasn't for you." He thanks me.

I stare at him for a moment. I could play with him a little couldn't I? I rest my hand on his shoulder and brush some sand off.

"Better get used to it. This island is a dangerous place. I wont always be around to save you Jr." I tell him. I turn my back to him and continue walking through the forest.

If only I was messing with him. If Hook messes with the NeverNever we could all be in huge trouble. Pirate Boy didn't know it yet , but he was my only chance of saving this island and everyone on it.
