unexpected

Chapter 3

It was 5th period and I usually never go to lunch and the rare times that I do, I usually just go their to munch on my apple while reading a book. However, today I was going to maybe eat lunch with Anastasia, and by maybe I mean that I probably won't be eating and just being quite as usual.

I walk down the stairs, and enter the cafeteria and before I could even scan the cafeteria to find Anastasia, Anastasia had already called for me. " Lydiana! Over here!" She seemed very eager for me to sit with her. I giggled but my my giggling stopped when I saw her sexy brother. I had forgotten that they were new and that they were siblings for a moment.

My cheeks started to turn a very bright yet soft pink when her brother made eye contact with me.

"Hi Lydiana, my sister tells me that you were very shy this morning In telling us your name." The brother had said in a very playful and teasing tone. "Um yeah, I'm very sorry I didn't reply to you guys this morning." I said in a very soft tone of voice.

"It's okay, I'm Dereck. Nice to meet you Anastasia." He had said while smiling at me, in which he made me very nervous but also happy.

"N......ni.....nice to meet you." I replied. "Okay you two stop flirting with each other, I can sense new love in the air." Anastasia said. I had become absolutely red. I'm pretty sure redder than a tomato. I felt a little uncomfortable with her statement but I didn't feel bad. It's not like I was going to die from her remark.

"Awwww come on Ana. We were only having small talk. Come on don't make her feel uncomfortable." Dereck said. It's as if he knew exactly what I was thinking.

"Yeah I know but you know I have a strong sense of things it's one of my abilities while with speed and others etc." Anastasia had turned to me. "Sorry lyd, if I made you feel uncomfortable I'm truly sorry." Ana said with the most sincere and earnest face, she reminded me of a puppy I had once but had died because of cancer.

"So Lydiana tell me about yourself since we didn't properly meet this morning." Dereck said. "Um well I love to read and draw. That's basically what I do everyday.", "ah so you like literature?", "um yeah I enjoy it a lot. Especially different perspectives and point of views the author portrays or tries to." I say enthusiastically, I feel as if I'm a kid again.

Dereck giggles. I start to feel uncomfortable, I start to think about the times people have bullied me because of my joy in reading, calling me 'the awkward kid' or 'non sociable'.

"Lydiana you are a very amazing person and your face lights up when you talk about the things you like. You are very beautiful Lydiana." My face had blushed so much that I felt not only blood enter my cheeks but also heat. I was so happy, I've never been complimented like that before. My thought and feelings had disappeared when Anastasia had grabbed my hand while looking at her phone.

"Lydiana I'm sorry it seems like I have to go and I was planning to walk home with you.Wait! Dereck can you walk Lydiana home. Pleaaaaaaase." Anastasia said.

Dereck had replied," you didn't have to ask nor beg I was already planning to take Lydiana home, well only if it's alright with you." He had sad while smiling and he was blushing too. This was so cute but mostly sexy with his dark blue black hair a little bit in front of his face.

"Yeah sure I don't mind"  I had said in a soft tone again. For the rest of the day I was eager,happy and nervous but mostly excited to see Dereck later.

I couldn't wait to walk home with him.
