unexpected

Chapter 4

It was the end of the day and i saw Derreck in front of the park that was across the street from the school. I was really really nervous because i have never walked home with anyone before. Ever since i could remember, i have never had any friends because of my love for reading instead of playing in the playground.

"Hey there Lydiana, ready for that walk?". Derreck said in an anticipated voice. "Ye........yea......yeah". I giggled approaching him. Derreck laughed, "Alright then lets walk".

For me thus wasn't just a walk i take from school to home. But a walk that i take with a person. Because i have never really socialized before, i really didn't know what to say. I thought to my self, what if i ask him what made him decide to go to our school.

Just as i was thinking really hard about what to say, Derreck had interrupted my thoughts and said, "you know, its okay to be nervous but having a conversation wouldn't be so bad would it?". He giggled. In response i giggled as well and said, " yeah i guess your right", " so Lydiana what shall we talk about on this pleasant walk that we are having today?". The first thing that came up into my mind was, "Why is a sexy guy like him going to our crummy school?". As soon as i thought thus Derreck had a smile across his face as if he knew what i was thinking.

"Um, so why did you and your sister come to our school? It seems like you guys are better suited for a high class private school." He then said, "we just moved and picked a school that we thought best fit." i had showed him a confused look because in my view of things, our school was nothing more than a trash place with people who had no respect of others who were different. The only things that these people look up to are those who think only of themselves.

Derreck had looked at me and said, "what's with the look?" i sighed in response and said, "nothing really......just thinking to myself." He gave me a dazzling smile, and in him doing so i had blushed tremendously. A part of me did not want this walk to ever end. But sadly it did.

We approached my door step and there was an awkward silence but comforting at the same time. "Well i....i guess that i will see you tomorrow at school." i said nervously. "He had giggled in response. "Yeah i will." Before i even had the chance to take out my keys out of my bookbag, Derreck had been so close to my face. My heart was beating so fast. I felt as if my heartbeat was light.

When Derreck had gotten so close to my face i thought he was going to kiss me on the lips. The anticipation i had was overwhelming. I had quickly gasped for air because i was holding my breath waiting.

When i had gasped that second for air Derreck had had a smile on his face and then later given me a kiss on my right cheek. He said, "i'm sorry if i went too fast with you, but there is something about you that makes me so attracted towards you" I had shyly giggled in response. I was feeling the utmost happiness around him. I guess you can say from that first meeting we had a strong instant connection.

Before he had left my front door step I had said to him. "I don't think you're going to fast, but i still want to get to know you. Is that okay?" He had quickly put his head down and laughed in a very cute yet sexy way. He then said, "yeah i don't mind, but as long as I get to know you better too."

We both smiled at each other and I shyly said yes.
