"At first, I did not know it was your diary. I thought it was a sad, handwritten book."

Now I was never one to be nosy, but by god, it was James Matthews diary. You would never think that the most popular guy, not to mention the hottest, would have a diary. This was to good to be true.

Maybe if I was a more respectable person I would have never opened the diary, but I mean who wouldn't. Now you could say I just glanced at it but everyone would know I was lying. I full out read this like it was top read in Opera's book club, it was that good.

Who knew that this almighty guy was scared of pigeons.

Eventually I would confess to James and put my plans into action, but first I needed to find him. Some people might find stalking his Twitter profile  creepy, but I had to find out where this guy was.

After not finding any information one where he could be, I went to the place I dreaded most. A place where any jock could be found, the gym.

The schools gym was a horrible places, you could smell the sweat from all the athletes and yells coming from the coaches. I hated it.

Finding James Matthews wasn't that hard, everyone was around him. They surrounded him like a moth to a flame. I didn't do too well in crowds, so I'd just have to get him when he wasn't surrounded by his clique. A figure caught my eye, and I noticed Talon talking to one of the cheerleaders. Well, more like hitting on her, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. On average the male thinks about sex 19 times a day, but I think Talon tripled it. I mean I have caught him in the act, a day I'll never forget although I desperately try. Talon was good looking, and maybe if we weren't soon to be step-brother and sister I might have even thought of him as sexy, but it was too weird. He was one of those guys who played with girls hearts and I didn't judge him, the girls knew what they were getting into.

Although Talon was a playboy, James Matthews was way worse. I'm surprised they're not best friends since they have everything in common. But I think they were always trying to one up each other, to see who was top dog. I never understood it, its probably a boy thing.

I must have not realized how creepy I looked standing in the corner and practically stalking James Matthews along with countless others.

People eyed me and gave me strange looks as I sat there for what felt hours waiting for James to be done. Finally, when I was about to give up to the endless waiting, James quickly waved goodbye to his groupies and headed towards the boys locker room. And this was my chance to catch him.

Now I thought about going into the boys locker room and confronting him, but I didn’t need any of the coaches to think I was harassing their players like last time. So I quietly hid by the nearest  janitors closet to the locker room and waited for James to come out. What felt like hours and hiding did no good when I had the need to pee, I heard shuffling around the corner and my heart began to race. I really was going to do this.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw his signature black leather jacket and dark hair the girls went crazy for. And then I shoved him in the closet.

“What the hell” he spat, trying to shove me out of the way.

I quickly reached for the light above my head and clicked it on. “Who are you” he asked, squinting from the light.

“Maple Harlen, now-

“-listen now I don’t have much time, we can do it real quick”

I furrowed my eyebrows in question at him. “Wait, what are you talking about?”

He gave me a funny look and a giant grin stretched out on his face. “You know, get it on” he said in a husky voice.

I gave him a horrid look, how could he possibly think, no why would he think that. “Gross, no I have a proposition for you.” He gave me a weird look probably wonder why I didn’t want to “get it on” with him in a janitors closet.

“Oh you’re that one girl I ran into yesterday, what do you need?” he asked.

“I need your help, I want you to help me with a list of movies. Romantic ones. I need to know which one is the best for a love story, which one would actually make me believe I’ve fallen in love” I was slightly embarrassed by this but I need it I really did.

For a moment he just looked at me, and then a laughed in my face. After his laughter quietly downed, he wiped the tears from his eyes and looked back down at my glaring face. “Oh, you’re being serious. Hey you must have hit your head pretty hard yesterday, syrup. This must be some stupid joke and you’re wasting my time” he stepped around my to try to leave but I quickly put my arm out in front of him.

“Not so fast hot shot, I have something you might want back. Something you desperately need” Curiosity must have gotten the best of him because in a few moments he was asking what it was.

A grin grew across my face. “I have your diary and if you want it back you have to do exactly what I say” he look like he was about to yell at my so I quickly put up my hand. “Before you interrupt me, I know you could easily take it from me, but guess what? I read it, all of it. And I might have copied some of the pages, so you’re stuck with me”

His face turned red, and he sent me probably the most evil glare. "Fine you win" Soon his frown turned into a evil grin, one that was bigger than the Cheshire cats. James came slowly up to my ear and whispered, sending chills down my spin. "For now". And with a slam of the door he was gone. Leaving me in the dusty closet. He was up to something. Maybe this wasn't the best idea after all.
