Ladybug and Chat Noir left the scene, almost like they had never been there in the first place. All traces of them were gone, making Cheshire think of it as a poem- both beautiful and scary at the same time.

She was sucked out of her thoughts by the sounds of Lila's protests, to which Cheshire released her hold and Lila fell face-first onto the floor.

The previous akuma huffed, brushing herself off before glancing at Cheshire. When she realized the near-cat didn't care about her anymore, Lila fled the scene.

Soon, Cheshire looked at Milyah and stated simply, "I'm surprised Ladybug and Chat didn't lecture me about staying out of trouble."

Milyah agreed. "Me too. "

Suddenly, a low rustling came from Milyah's hoodie hood.

Neither of the girls were worried, however. They knew exactly what the noise was.

A small, flying chinchilla popped out of the black piece of clothing: a Kwami. Not just any Kwami either. The Chinchilla Miraculous belonged to Milyah. More specifically, her bracelet.

"So how did everything go?" Asked the fluffy gray Kwami. While she may have had excellent hearing capabilities, she often chose to be polite and not listen in without permission. Sometimes.

Cheshire flashed a grin, not unlike her name. "I think it went well. Milyah?"

"Good," said Milyah, her mind off on some other thoughts, but returning when Mesai the chinchilla cried out in ecstasy.

"Perfect!"

The blue bag of infinite space unzipped one of its side pockets, and out popped the second newest Kwami.

She was known as the Cheshire Queen Kwami, which (to no surprise) had Cheshire as the holder. The Cat and Heart's Queen wasn't the typical Kwami, either, with unruly red and purple fur. Her soft yellow eyes somehow appeared simultaneously crazed and beautiful. Two patterns encircled them: a silver crescent-depicted moon cutting across her right, and a deep, blood like red heart atop her left.

Which is ironic considering my name is Cœurs, aka the French word for Hearts. -Cœurs

Wait wait wait. Hold up. That wasn't Cheshire's voice text.

Well yeah! Cœurs can break the fourth wall, too. -Cheshire

Oh no. OH NO. I HAVE TO DEAL WITH TWO OF THEM!?! I WAS BARELY OKAY WITH JUST THE ONE!!

Shall we take from your past advice and continue on with the story? -Cheshire

Yes, yes. PROCEED.

The Cheshire Queen casually flew to the duo and her friend Mesai. "I know! I heard the entire thing!!!"

Cheshire pouted, her hands flying to play with her moon and heart choker which, respectively, was Cœurs magical jewelry piece. "Cœurs, stop eavesdropping!!"

Mesai giggled at their childish and not uncommon antics.

Milyah's brain jolted. "Wait, so why didn't we turn into our Miraculouses?

Tapping her chin, the almost cat realized her friend's point. "Good question. I guess we kinda got wrapped up in the action. There wasn't anywhere to transform." She coughed. "Except behind a bench." Two more coughs.

Milyah stifled a laugh. "Oh. Yeah."

Mesai smiled in a look of quick understanding. "Huh. I guess it makes sense."

Cœurs practically somersaulted midair, saying joyously. 'This is going to be one exciting adventure!! Mesai, we're FINALLY able to have fun again. Not confined in that little space." On the last bit, she began to shiver, and Cheshire was tempted to offer her jacket until she recalled her friend was barely the size of her fist and also covered in fur.

Mesai agreed, following her fellow Kwami's example and shaking for a moment. "Yeah."

Cheshire chuckled. "So claustrophobic, huh?"

"It's a fact about Chinchillas. We like to be out and about," informed Mesai, Milyah nodding behind her.

Cœurs whined, her tiny figure floating about with a noticeable dramatic sadness. "I have to be able to roam!! Closed spaces are TERRIBLE~~"

Cheshire, laughed as she just couldn't take her Kwami seriously sometimes when she acted like a child and not the ancient Deity she technically was. "You're so cute." She nuzzled Cœurs.

Milyah had to hold back the full extent of her smile. After all that had happened to her best friend in the almost cat's life, it was hard to believe she would care so much for a Kwami. Being a superhero was never in Cheshire's wheel house of jobs, yet here she was, saving and befriending new people. She was happy now. But Milyah couldn't show that. She couldn't let the world know the things very few did. In a world where knowledge is power, Cheshire held keys others didn't. Many didn't know just how much the almost cat had been through to get here. Milyah partially forced a grin. "Mmmhm!"

Author's Note! So guys, we've just barely scratched the surface of Cheshire's (albeit sad) origin. You have no idea. I'm really excited!!! Theatre is hectic, but I absolutely love it, and that's where I'll be this week. See ya next time! (Honestly, one of these days I'm going to accidentally publish a chapter twice. Please, feel free to roast me when that happens. Love ya!)
