The next day I finally got to leave, I decided to go to my house first
"She's so beautiful." My mom said holding Jacqueline.
Jacqueline's big eyes stared at my dad.
My dad started to cry.
"Daddy, whats wrong?" I asked.
"She's beautiful, like you." He cried.
After spending an hour at my parents, we went over to the Curtis' house. None of them saw the baby, except for Dally. I didnt want anyone to really see her, but since Two-Bit is the dad, Steve is my brother, Bob was just there, because of being with Two-Bit and all, he didnt have a way home. And Dally, even though I felt bad because I broke his heart everyday for almost a whole year, he was my best friend, I wanted him there. When we got to the Curtis' house, all the guys sat litterally on top of me, just to see Jacqueline.
"She's so small." Ponyboy said.
I laughed, "Do you want to hold her?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, it'll be fine." I gave Ponyboy, Jacqueline to hold.
"Hi, Jacqueline." He said looking at her, he looked back up at me, "She's so adorable." He smiled.
"Thanks." I smiled back.
After a month passed, I finally thought it would be fine if I took Jacqueline places. Being a new mother and all, I was afraid something would happen if I took her out before. I decided to go for a walk with Two-Bit. While we were on the walk, people stared at me funny. Mainly because they all knew me as the quiet girl. Well, I guess they havent known me for the past two and a half years. And adults find it bad for a girl to have a baby, while she's still a teenager. I didnt mind though, those people will forget about it anyways. One of my neighbors came up to us.
"Hello Robin." The woman smiled.
"Hi." I said.
I didnt even know the woman that well, she had just moved in about a month ago, while Jacqueline was born.
"Is this your baby?"
"Yeah, this is Jacqueline." I smiled.
"She's so pretty." The woman smiled back, "My name is Margot Vanson."
I thought it was weird that she knew my name, but I didnt know hers.
"Nice to meet you." I smiled.
"You know, I had my first child when I was your age. At the time, things were way different then they are now. Twenty years really can change."
"Yeah, well some people now still think its really bad. But, I dont care, Jacqueline is the best thing ever."
"Well, ive better get back, ive got to do a lot of work. It was nice talking to you." Margot said as she walked off.
"You too." I called.
"That was weird." Two-Bit said.
"Yeah, I wonder how she knows my name."
"She could have talked to your parents."
"Yeah, probably. But something about her doesnt seem right."
We walked on.
"So, do you want to go get something to eat at my house?" Two-Bit asked as we walked up to his house.
"Yeah, sure." I smiled as we walked up the sidewalk to his house.
We went inside of his house, his dad was in the living room watching TV.
"I really need to get a place for just us." Two-Bit leaned in and whispered.
I nodded.
"Hi son." His dad bolting up from the couch said.
"Hi dad." Two-Bit said.
"So, this is Jacqueline. My grandchild." He said looking at Jacqueline. He smiled.
"Yeah, im sorry you havent seen her until now." I said.
"Oh its okay, im just happy to see her." He smiled.
I always found Two-Bit's dad a little strange, mainly because he used to scare me when I was little, by being drunk all the time. Two-Bit noticed that I was getting uncomfortable, he knew that I used to be afraid of his dad. So went into the kitchen and quickly mad two sandwhiches.
"Alright dad, we've got to go." Two-Bit said following me out the door, "Are you alright?" He asked me.
"Yeah, im fine. Its just, your dad scares me. No offense." I looked down.
"None taken, some days he scares me too." He softly laughed, "Nothing has really changed with him since we were younger. I actually think he's gotten worse. Im surprised he wasnt smoking while we were in the house."
"Im glad he wasnt."
"Yeah, that wouldnt be good for Jacqueline." He looked down at her, she was sleeping.
"I think we should go to my house now."
We started to walk off.
"Like I said, I seriously need to get us a house. Since we dont want Jacqueline at mine and I doubt you really want her at your house."
"Yeah, sometimes my parents are a little odd. Even though they dont drink or anything. I just sometimes think they are too nice."
"We should try to get a house. Just for us."
"What about Bob?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about him. I mean, I cant just tell him that im moving out and leaving him there. And im not going to tell him that he needs to get a place of his own."
"This is all to complicated." I sighed.
"Yeah, I know." Two-Bit sighed.
