DAY FIVE

The Buredo (blades) family POV

AKIKIO POV

It was morning, early in the morning. I looked around my room as it was filled with teddy bears, spelled teddy bears to keep the nightmares away. Owning the sword of nightmares was a tough job, because you could get nightmares yourself by being close to it.

A swordsman from the village blessed the teddy bears to fight off the swords power and preventing everyone in the house from having nightmares.

After a couple of years, I learned how to control the sword and master its powers. I didn't want to throw away the teddy bears after I learned how to master the sword. I like having them in my room. It made me feel safe.

A swordsman  was a keeper of god. They were sent down to earth to live for years to watch and bless people only if they had the permission from god to do so. These swordsman weren't alive; they were dead souls walking among us like humans dressed in all black. They were like falling angles sent down from heaven to earth.

We were unable to communicate with the gods, so they sent swordsmen (falling angles) to take their place on earth to send messages and help people. We communicate with them threw the swordsman. My older brothers would always tell me stories about them. I haven't seen one before.

"Akiko, breakfast is ready!" mother called from outside the room.

"Coming!" I shouted back. I freshened up and ran to the living room to eat breakfast. I was starving.

"Akiko, I am very disappointed in you. You did not complete your mission, and you still failed to tell me what happened." My father said, sitting at the table with his empty plate. I could tell he was waiting for me to come down and eat. I sat there looking at him; I didn't know what to tell him.

I was nerves. It was the first mission my dad made me do after years of training with my sword, and I failed. It was simple, and I failed to complete it.

"Why can't you be like your brother Kyoko, do you see how strong he is. No one could defeat him. If I were to send him on the mission, I wouldn't have to worry. You are my youngest child and my only daughter, I had much faith in you, and you disappointed me." He said staring at me with anger. He was holding his fork tightly over his empty plate.

My father was a scary looking man. Many villagers feared him and most times I did too. When he sits it's as if he's standing 6ft tall. I sat there as his face changed. He sat across from me furious.

"Father, let me just explained what happened!" I shouted. He looked away and started walking off. My mother looks at me and then back at my father. "Ryo, please. She's just a little girl, at least listen to what she has to say. She is the youngest child and only female to master a sword be proud." My mother smiled. My father turned back and walked towards my direction and sat beside me.

"I couldn't get the papers from Master Suzu because the girl in the palace stopped me. She was robust and smart. She knew it was a dream the moment I made my way in her head. She even notices the sword I had. Father, I trained for years every day and practice on my brothers and villagers and I have never failed till last night." I said pleading and begging for forgiveness. He didn't believe me.

"There are no women in that palace, I've been there several times. There are only the master and his sons. You failed to take the paper from Master Suzu while they were asleep and now I will not give you any missions tell I see improvement." He said getting up from the chair.
Father walked out of the kitchen back into his room. I was upset. I was furious. I was determined somehow, some way to prove to him that there is a girl in the palace that was powerful.
