DAY SIX
NIKKI POV
It was morning. The sun shined as bright as always. I was up early as the rest of them for the first time. I was tired. As soon as the sun rose, they were up and ready to begin their training. I was up and ready to start mine as well.
I got ready and freshened up for my last few minutes of training before the big fight Master Suzu set up for me. I remember him telling me this man was the toughest and strongest fighter in the village. I was nervous and scared. I wasn't ready. I kept thinking about what I did to kentaro the other day. It just happened, and I don't know how, neither do I know how to control it. He's still a bit injured, and I feel bad about it.
"Good morning princess, I believe I'm the one who's supposed to be training you first before your big tournament," Hoshi says, opening the door without knocking. I rushed to the door and closed it. I wasn't ready.
"Good morning Hoshi, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting I'll be ready in a minute," I said excitingly. He waited by the door and as I was done, we headed to the garden behind the palace where they always go to practice. I tried to remember some of the stuff they taught me yesterday during training, but it was so much to remember. I was nervous, all I could think about was how big, strong, and tough the guy might be.
"Alright, we're going to try something a bit like what we did two days ago. Is that alright with you princess?" I was nervous and a bit speechless. I didn't want to go through any of it anymore. I wanted to quit.
"Oh, come on... I think she needs something a bit more challenging." Kentaro says walking towards us. Hearing that from him gave me goosebumps.
"How about we put both of our powers together and make it a little more frightening" Kentaro smiles. I could tell by his eyes he was looking for revenge because of what happened the other day. I tried to explain to him it was by mistake. Juro and Kano Kane were already in the village setting up. I was wondering if it was possible to fake my death.
A few hours' past after training with them. We didn't accomplish anything, and I could tell by Kentaro and Hoshi's face that they were upset. Most of the training was them fighting.
"I don't think your ready princess," Hoshi says. I look at him with disappointment.
"I think she'll do alright." Kentaro laughs. If there was one thing about Kentaro that I hated it was his vengeance.
"Well, are you ready princess?" Hoshi asked. As soon as I was about to answer his question honestly, master Suzu came and dragged me away.
"Let us go now Nikki; the village is ready to see you fight. You can do this." Master Suzu says.
I look at his face; he was so sure that I was going to win. As we walk down the hill and into the forest, we approach a big village. It was pack with many villagers.
Many of the villagers were heading to the ring to see my fight. Everyone was staring at me as I walk towards the ring. It made me feel anxious. The village was beautiful, calm and welcoming. I felt like I've seen it before. However, it didn't bring back any memories. It was filled with houses close together, man made with hardwood, straws, and mud. They were all nicely built. Many markets around the area sold fruits, clothes, and other materials. However the air wasn't as fresh as where we lived.
As I approach the fighting rink, I saw a young man with a sword. He looks built and very intimidating. I knew he was ready for the fight. I could tell by the look on his face when I came towards him he was willing, determined, and fearless. I looked down below me as everyone was looking up at me.
