*IZEN's POV*

"Where am I," Izen thought to himself as he awoke.

As he looked around, he realized there wasn't much to see.  He was, to his great displeasure, tied down to a chair.  He had awoken to a dull, colorless room with nothing but a table and two chairs.  One of which he was tied to.  Before he had time to contemplate the mystery of where exactly he was, a man entered the room, and sat across from him.

"Do you know who I am?"  The man asked, staring Izen down like a predator preparing to pounce upon its prey.

Izen sat there, giving the man a perplexing stare, before replying with a simple," No."

"Well then I'll tell you," He said, setting his spectacles upon the table," I am General Lee.  I am the overseer of this fort.  You, my dear boy, have awakened in Ground Zero.  That, I'm afraid, is all I'm required to tell you.  Considering you are an outsider."

Izen stood up and demanded to know why he had been attacked and what he had seen before losing consciousness.  He also demanded to know where his friends were.  However, to his great displeasure, the man only knew of him; no one else was found.

"Look, kid," General Lee said as he walked towards the window overlooking the training grounds," If you do have any friends, they're most likely dead."

       "What?"

 *KARIN'S POV*

As Karin adjusted to the crutch given to her by Cloud, she began to think about Izen and Tora.  She worried for their safety and she felt deep down they were in danger, but another feeling overcame it.  She felt a feeling of joy; she knew they would be reunited soon.  If only she knew the circumstances their reunion would fall under.  Storm clouds began to gather as they set out for Legion.

"As Karin, Josiah, and Cloud began walking down the dirt road, Josiah glanced at Karin then back to the road.

"Karin," Josiah said nervously," When you hugged Cloud, you called him Izen.  Who did you think we were?"

Karin smiled.  As she continued walking she looked up to the sky as the rain began to pour even harder," I thought you two were my friends.  I traveled here with two other knuckleheads.  One of which I care about very much.  I wanted to believe you two were them, but I guess not.  It's okay though, because, thanks to you two, I'll see Colress again."

Cloud put his hood on and walked ahead of the two.  Hearing Karin talk about the two made him feel happy.  He could only smile.  She reminded him of a girl he once knew.

"C'mon you two," He called turning his head to see what they were up to," Lets go.  We have a lot of ground to cover."

"Okay!"  The two replied in unison.

     *IZEN'S POV*

"A war you say?"  Izen inquired with a tone of confusion.

"Yes, a war, a war that has been being fought for over 3 years now.   It all started when that damn Colress came along.  He proposed the idea of a trinity.  He thought every one could understand one another if they just talked it out, ya know.  He was wrong though.  Human beings will never fully understand one another.  Our judgment is clouded.  We are wired to point out our flaws and differences; it's how we're made.  It's a curse."
