"W-What am I to do n-now?"
My chest crumbles upon each intake of air for it felt as if bricks weighed inside mercilessly. Confusion rattles my mind, distorting every single drop of joy and anticipation that I have felt for this important night. Yet every time that I am blank of clear intelligible solution, all that my heart could persist is to not hide this.
A gentle yet vehement urge.
Tell him.
He must know.
He must.
He must.And I spring forth.
Like an abrupt wind that disturbs many, I stood upright and quickly found my body darting for the double doors. This unpredictable action made Frances and Rose lightly stumble back in astonishment for they were stood in front of me. They swiftly turned and followed me with long and deft strides, reaching out to me just in time that my hands grip the golden handles and yank the doors open.
"My lady!" They shout after me as I ran, their voices frantic and alarmingly worried for as I ran through the halls, these very structure resonated and witnessed my cries of pain and agony as I clutched the dress to my chest tightly. Droplets never ceased to roll down the flesh of my reddened cheeks.
Painfully.
Scathingly."My lady! Where are you headed?! My lady it is alright, we still have—" Frances and Rose's voices blend with mine, as those frantic ones of my attendants as they run to me.
"My lady, where are you going? We still have—"
In time before she could ever say it all, I have reached the doors to Harry's study in hopes to see if he was in the confines of the chamber. I reach to grasp the gold ornate handles, yet my attempts were futile as the royal guards suddenly moved from their post, standing in front of the doors. My attendants, Frances and Rose now all stood behind me in bewilderment yet they seemed to know my intentions once they have seen that we stood in front of the King's study. My tear-filled eyes found the royal guards' and I willed myself to speak whilst my heart thuds roughly.
I must speak now.
For I knew that I will never have the courage to speak in the midst of these wilting events once that I have thought with my mind.
"I need to speak with his majesty." I spoke, my lips and hands trembling as I clutched the stabbed dress that once represented life and beauty.
Now it all remains as the representation of death that was posed to be served upon me.
For I did not understand; what have I done so wrongly that I must be tormented as this?
What have I done so wrongly that caused someone to bestow the punishment of death upon me?The royal guards regarded me strongly and firmly; "His majesty cannot be seen as of now, my lady. For he has important matters that are being discussed at this very moment."
Hearing his response had my mind confused and pained even more, for this simply cannot wait. I was certain that if I never had the chance to have a word with him before the ball, that he would be utterly livid at me for not appearing beside him. He would surely mark me as a disappointment and would lose his trust in me.
