#4 Donghyuk

You are waiting for your friend at the school gate, your bag on one shoulder, lollipop in your mouth, head popping to the rhythm of your favourite song, Sweet Love by Chris Brown.

"Y/N!!!"- your friend, Sulli, runs towards you, behind her walks a bright looking guy, with a wide grin on his face (no joke, from ear to ear), "This is soooo awesome, meet my brother, Donghyuk, oppa, meet Y/N, she is my best friend in the whole universe!!!!!!", Sulli would not stop talking, you shows out what you call the yes-madam-yes-i-know-me-understand look. Then you shift your gaze to her brother, Donghyuk. It is funny and impressive how he can smile through the whole introduction, because you feel like years have passed before your friend gets it done.

He offers a handshake: "Hi I'm Kim Donghyuk, Sulli's brother, you can call me Donggy oppa. I transfer to your school cause my old one is too far away, it is tiring for me every morning,"-adds a fake cry expression, "Since you are a close friend of Sulli, I will treat you like my little sister! Is that alright?"

"Yeah sure!", you reply, feeling nonchalant. It is not like you already have a brother at home, Bobby aka the most annoying person on earth, but you are fine, not like this Donghyuk guy will take you as a sister for serious.

While you guys entering the school, you can't help but notice how friendly Donghyuk is. He waves to others, those he knows (is his first day in school, how is it possible that he knows anyone? This is strange) and even those he doesn't know. Suddenly, you hear a familiar voice shouting out: "Hey Candy-chan!!!!", you turn to look and guess what, it is your brother, Bobby, yelling across the field, at Donghyuk. He waves back with a huge grin on his face, showing the two cutie dimples (you are a HUGE fan of dimples).

"How come you know my brother?", you ask out of curiosity.

"We are actually from the same basketball team. My old school's students usually come to this neighbourhood to hang out, despite the long distance."

Now your brother is running towards you guys, Sulli is nowhere to be seen, that girl just zooms off and on, too sociable, like her brother. Bobby embraces Donghyuk in a bear (?!) hug, giggling crazily like a child. "I'm so glad you decided to come here, we will rock this whole school, together with the rest of the clique!! Hey dongsaeng, why are you here my little cutie sister?", Bobby scratches your chin, giving out that baby-ish squeak that a guy his age should never do, "Are you both hungry? How great would it be for both of my best men are here"

"Sorry, I need to get going, mid-year exam is process. If anything, find me at the library!!", said you while escaping from his tight hug, then you bow to Donghyuk and run away real fast. You cannot afford sitting down listening to the guys' talk, they also need privacy in some ways, don't they? Donghyuk just smiles at you (why does the guy smile so much? Is he that happy-go-lucky?) while Bobby pouts.

"I love you Y/N!!!", shouts Bobby after you.

You have been struggling alot with this one problematic question, you finally give up and bang your head on the table, and since it hurts so much, you keep still for the pain to retreat.

"Hey, Y/N, facing any problem?", a voice wakes you up from the moaning-land.

"No~", you answer, without looking up.

"Well, I can help you."

"Yes please!!!!!", you jump up, too excited until you realise the person next to you is Donghyuk, the guy you want to see the least. You quickly glance down, hiding your disappointment.

Donghyuk has started explaining, but you have lost your focus since the start. You daze out, observing his defined features, his eyes, long lashes, two adorable dimples every time he slightly grins. You wonder for the thousandth time, how can a person be so bright, so radiant, you feel blinded. Covering your eyes, peeking through the space in between your fingers, he still looks like an angel. You want to immerse in watching him so bad you hate yourself.

Donghyuk ends up teaching you that chapter all over again, without knowing that you don't really need his help as you have already obtained full mark for the test, it is just that one question.

His phone vibrates, he reads the message and glances at you briefly,

"Bobby asks us to head to the mall now, both of us. Sulli is with him."

You hesitate, then this time, Bobby calls you, the ringtone is on, Sweet Love by Chris Brown. The librarian hushes at you. You hurriedly shut it off, "Let's go."

When you two are outside the library, Donghyuk holds your sleeve, pulling you to a sudden stop,

"Y/N, are you feeling uncomfortable with me?"

"No, what are you talking about?", you said, glancing elsewhere and trying hard to hide all your thoughts, "It is only our first day meeting each other, why would I____",
"You are right, it is only our first day meeting each other. I don't know about you but I feel very great hanging out with you. You are adorable, no wonder Bobby loves you so much. And we have so many things in common, both you and I like Chris Brown's music."

"Oh...", you furrow your eyebrows, not so sure if that one similarity is enough for 'many things in common'

"Therefore... I really, really hope we can get close as time passes. To begin with, are you free this weekend?"

"Yeah", you feel like being tricked, but you can't figure it out yet.

"Great, let's go and watch (F/M) together"

"Er... okay, sure", you said. Unexpectedly, your heart skips a beat. Maybe because he is grinning brightly again, happiness in his eyes, maybe because his shoulder is brushing slightly against yours, maybe because you realise what this feeling is now, maybe...

A/N: I just checked back on this on 21/11 and Donghyuk's sister's name is messed up ;;-;; very sorry ;;-;; but I fixed it back :)
