Your POV

I sat down next to him and he seemed startled but soon calmed down when he realized it was me. "Hey, Y/N." He greeted and kissed my cheeks. I shoot him a smile and took my sandwich out my bag.

"I've been thinking..." He started and I looked at him as I bit down on the delicious sandwich and nodded, a sign for him to continue. "About our relationship." He trailed off then I felt my food get stuck at my throat.

I felt my chest tighten up because I thought he was gonna break up at me.

"Don't get me wrong, Y/N. I love you. So much. But there's just this things. I know you don't want me to say this but I want to keep our relationship a simple one. I don't want any complications with our relationship. I've been in this situation before... I don't want what happened to me before to happen to you." I raised my eyebrows at him because I seriously cannot get what he was trying to say.

"What do you mean, Monty?" I asked him and he sighed. "I don't want any promises to be made. Those promises will just be broken. And once the promise was broken, consequences happens. All I'm trying to say is, please, no promises." He said and I felt relieved.

"Of course, babe." I gave him a peck on the lips and he smiled. "I'm glad you understand, babygirl." He said. "What do you want to do then? With our relationship?" I asked him and he shrugged. "I'm not a fan of heartbreaks and relationships so tell me what you want." He told me, holding my free hand and kissed it.

It was weird for me to see this side of Monty because 1, he used to bully me before he confessed what he really feels and why he does that. 2, it's just a rare side of Montgomery De La Cruz. and 3, we're in a public place and I know he doesn't like PDA.

"I just want us to be us. Like, be those people who are in a relationship, A real one. Those people who're not showy but everyone knows they're in love." I told him and he smiled. "Okay baby. But, no promises made." He teased and I giggled. "As long as we're together, I'm fine by that." Monty whispered, giving my hand another kiss.

"I love you Y/N." He mumbled, looking straight into my eyes. I can see that he was telling the truth because of the look in his eyes and my heart started racing. "I love you too, Montgomery." I spoke and he smiled and attached his lips on mine.

This may sound cliche but, I felt fireworks on my stomach and felt every fiber in my body shiver at the feeling of Monty's lips on mine. I kissed back, completely forgetting we were in public.
