Caspian walked through the woods silently, they were out spying on the nearby Telemarine camps.

Suddenly a twig snapped and Caspian turned around quickly. Barely even thinking and he pulled out his sword and charged at the blond boy, who also had his sword out.

Suddenly a duel began, Caspian's sword was lodged in the tree.

"Peter!"

An angry yell echoed through the woods. A girl a bit older than him glared angrily at both of them, a girl slightly younger than him and a boy with dark hair his age watched in confusion.

"High King Peter?" He looked at the blond boy. Peter nodded.

"Are you Caspian?"

"Yes. I-"

"Caspian! You stupid idiot! Why were you even out and fighting people! You're actually still injured if you ask me, but of course it's just like a boy to not be injured." Maffie scolded.

"Maffiiiiieeeeeee!" He exclaimed, slightly annoyed and slightly glad someone cared. The boy which Caspian assumed to be Edmund chuckled, the queens of old were smiling. Peter bowed to Maffie.

"I assume you are Mafalda, or Maffie as some call you." He said. Maffie nodded and curtsied to you.

Caspian decided to pull the 'annoying younger brother act'.

"Maffie actually had a big crush on you when she was younger." He blurted out. Maffie's eyes widened and she blushed profusely. Peter chuckled.

Then she stomped on his foot, Caspian gasped in pain then thought for a moment.

"Maybe, in that case, she still does." He smirked. Maffie shook her head.

"We were mere children." She said to Peter who was watching the whole ordeal with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Reminds you of when we first became rulers doesn't it?" Lucy whispered to Susan.

"Yes. Very." Susan replied.

They all agreed to head back to the How and talk more.

Caspian kept looking at Peter who was staring at Maffie.

Edmund noticed that and walked beside Caspian.

"Don't worry. Peter's an okay guy." He stated. Caspian looked at Edmund.

"I don't doubt that. I just... she was almost sold off to a prince and I lost her for five years." He said softly. Edmund smiled gently.

"I know how that feels. Kings and princes used to come after Susan and Lucy all the time." Edmund said kindly. Caspian sighed.

"When did you find each other again?" Edmund changed the subject. Caspian was glad for the change of subject.

"Two days ago." Caspian smiled and looked at Maffie, who was now talking to Peter and Susan, a smile on her face.

Edmund laughed slightly.

"She's much better than some of the suitors that came to try to marry Peter or I. She has no problem beating up people, speaking of that how's your foot?"

"Better, I guess." Caspian laughed.

Edmund nodded.

"That's good, words of advice to the wise: don't tease and older sisters."
