Chapter One: Escape

Hey guys, I'm Ellie! This is my first fanfiction. ;) this story takes place during Prince Caspian, it is a little bit movie-verse (following the same plot line for the most part) and a little bit book-verse (less moody, whiney, fighting characters and probably no raid on the castle) So enjoy! I should be updating every time I get bored of college work XD. Anyways... enjoy!!

"Caspian. Get up! Get up!"

Caspian cracked his eyes opened, aware that he was being shaken awake.

"Five more minutes." He groaned, covering his eyes. Doctor Cornelius shook him one more time.

"Get up. Your aunt has given birth to a son."

That got Caspian up. He quickly sat up and moved (still rather sluggishly) but quicker than earlier.

Still rather confused he was led to his horse, Desterier.

"Take this horn." Doctor Cornelius handed him an ivory horn, carefully carved and detailed. Caspian studied it in awe. "Only blow it in your greatest need."

"Aren't you coming?" Caspian questioned, confused.

His professor shook his head.

"No." Echoes of yells and footsteps rang through the stable. "Godspeed, my prince."

Before Caspian could comprehend anything, he was headed right to the woods, the wind whipping through his hair.

Caspian rode silently, not daring to make a sound, for he still heard the soldiers behind him.

He looked behind him. Then looked in front of him.

He heard a crack and suddenly a splitting pain in his head.

He was unaware from then on what happened, there was a small man leaning over him. A girl was cradling his head repeating his name again and again.

"Caspian. Caspian. Oh, Trufflehunter, it's Caspian!"

Then the world went black...
