Halsey confirmed she had a miscarriage just hours before a performance for VEVO Lift. She was encouraged to continue with the show due to that (as well as getting 3 million impressions), and she said "That was the moment of my life where I thought to myself 'I don't feel like a fucking human being anymore." (via Rolling Stone). She says this is the angriest performance she's ever done. She states she still wants kids in the future, as she wants to be a mom more than a pop star. When she announced this to her blog, she was sent images of bloody fetuses.
