I stepped off the plane, prevail blasting through my black jbl headphones, and walked quickly down the different walkways.

I turned down a corner and passed through security to find my luggage. My instructions were simple; there would be a security guy waiting for me in the arrivals terminal and he would take me to Natalie and if she gave me the all clear I would move to the next stage.

Meeting Demi.

If Demi approved I got the all clear and it was off to tour I go. I had studied business arts at university but never did I think I would get the chance to work for someone like Demi.

I quickly snapped my brain into focus, I definitely don't need to be distracted thinking about the fact this job opportunity was for the Demi Lovato.

I stepped onto the escalator and scanned the crowd until I saw a small sign with my name printed on it.

'Ms Callie Levine'

Seeing my name in front of me always brought forward memories I'd rather forget and not because they were bad but because no matter what they always hurt.

They always left me feeling misplaced in everything I do.

I walked up to the man, my large purple suitcase trailing behind me and my laptop and country road bag hanging off my spare arm.

"Hi, I'm Callie, do you know where we are meeting Natalie?"

He smiled down at me and I instantly recognised him; Max, Demi's famous Australian body guard.

"A hotel in the city, she will meet you in Lobby and show you to your room for the next few days"

He smiled at me before motioning for me to follow him.

I fell into step beside him and he gave me a sideways glance before holding out his hand.

"I'm Max, do you want me to take your bags for you?"

I slowly shook my head but smiled brightly at him "You don't have to do that! But thank you"

He smiled and shrugged as he kept walking. He led me outside where a black car was waiting, tinted windows and leather seats greeted me as I let Max take my bags and put them in the trunk.

He sat down next to me in the back seat and quietly told the driver where to go.

"So are you from Australia?"

I jumped slightly but turned to face Max. We had been sitting in silence, just taking in everything the car drove past, when his voice suddenly filled the empty space.

"Um yes and no. I was born in Australia and I lived there until I was 8 and then we moved to North Carolina- hence the accent- but then I moved back to Australia when I was 17. Then I went to New Zealand and was there from 21 until now, so 2 years"

He smiled at me and nodded "I know how you feel sometimes I wonder if I'm more American than Australian now and Demi definitely doesn't help"

I laughed and nodded at him "I was actually wondering why you were here? You're Demi's personal body guard right?" I quietly questioned.

"Well I am, but she's at the hotel right now and doesn't have to be anywhere so they thought it would be a good idea to get me to pick you up that way you don't get lost trying to find your own way to the hotel" he answered simply.

The conversation died down and though I felt uncomfortable I knew it wasn't an awkward silence.

As we pulled up to the hotel Max turned to me.
