It's been 5 days since I've been exiled from Phoenix Drop. Which means that I have 1 more day left to get Aphmau's head before Zane kills me. I've been planning how I'm going to execute this mission, but I'm still a bit hesitant. I don't even know why Zane wants her dead, but if I want to live, then I have to kill her.
So here's the plan:
I'm going to sneak into Phoenix Drop, since I'm not allowed there, in the middle of the night when she is sleeping. I watched Aaron go to her house the first day I was here, so I know where she lives. I'm just going to do a quick slice and boom, she goes out painless and I get to live. The only problem is that I need something pretty sharp to cut through her entire neck in one slice, since my bo staff isn't going to cut it. {I hate myself more for these puns than you hate me for them, don't worry} Afterwards, I'll run over to O'Khasis and hand over the head.
I looked around the forest for rocks that entire day, but I couldn't find one to easily sharpen. So, I guess I'll have to do something else...
I waited until night time to begin my mission. I started to notice some of the guards leaving their posts, so I decided to sneak in while the night shift guards came in. I leaped out of a tree and onto the roof of Aphmau's house. My land was kinda shaky and loud, but I guess nobody heard because nothing happened. I opened one of her windows and snuck in to see her lying down in her bed sleeping. Perfect. I opened her bedroom door and started searching for her kitchen, hoping that she would have something sharp I could use.
I looked frantically through her cabinets and found a knife in one of the drawers. I slowly walked upstairs with the knife and closed the bedroom door behind me. I went up to her and rose the knife above her neck.
I couldn't move. The knife was there, my target was there. I just couldn't get myself to do it. I've killed before, but she has been nothing but done the right thing around me. There's no reason why I should be doing this. I threw the knife across the room and it landed in the wall. I sat down on the floor with my face in my hands.
Why am I even fighting for my life anymore? It's been nothing but awful. Aphmau deserves to live more than I do. I jumped back out of the window I came in from and leaped back into the trees. I thought that I should probably go some place comfortable so I can die in a nice place. So, I went to the only comfortable place I know.
I arrive at the spot and laid down on the soft blankets. I looked up at the sky and saw that it was almost midnight, which is when the poison will be released. I guess this is it... All of a sudden, I felt the toxins be released into my veins, causing me to ache all over. I took the pain silently, hoping that nobody could hear. Then, everything went black.

We finally got rid of the Iron Heart, so we didn't have to worry about her anymore. After a long day of training the younger guards, I started making my way back to my camp outside of town. I could've slept inside of Phoenix Drop, but I wanted to make sure y/n isn't raiding my camp. Only Irene knows where she could've gone and what she's doing.
Once I arrived though, I saw something I didn't want to. The Iron Heart was lying on my bed, motionless. I drew my sword and put it to her neck. No movement. Is she dead? No... I checked her pulse and noticed that her heart stopped. But she wasn't injured in any way. I looked around and noticed something on her neck. It was a chamber-like thing. She was poisoned... I picked her up and started running to the village.
I sprinted to the tree and found Zoey. "Zoey! Y/n has been poisoned!"
"What?!"
"Look!" I placed her body onto a bed and let Zoey examine her.
"A poison chamber... someone must've been trying to force her to do something..."
"Can you possibly save her?"
"Well, maybe. I'm not sure which poison has been used, so I don't know the antidote I need. But if she's dead, then I can possibly revive her."
"Just... do what you can." I left Zoey to do her magic and stared off into space. Who could've poisoned her? Why would they poison her? I should probably tell Aphmau about this...
I went over to Lady Aphmau's house and knocked on the door, but nobody answered. I walked in and looked into her bedroom. She was sleeping. Then I noticed something that Aph wouldn't have done. There was a knife stuck in the wall. It was clean of blood, thank Irene, but I didn't know why it was up there. Then I realized. Zane...
