Something stirs from across the room
Causing me to awaken
A figure, dark and undefined
Slowly it moves towards me
Fear fills my veins
I try to scream
But my mouth won't open
I want to run
But I'm immobilized
A stream of sweat trickles down my face
The shadow draws nearer
Looming right over me
Emitting a cold veining death
Everything goes black
There are no walls
There is no end
Darkness begins to consume my mind
Seeping into every crevice
My life flashes before my eyes
Suddenly I sit up
The figure gone within an instant
I give a sigh of relief
And I think to myself
I'm lucky to be alive
