Wrong Side of a Love Story

Chapter 8

             "WEDDING DAY"
(In the top is Naya dress, shoes and crown. Up top is Bailey dress, shoes and headband. The silver dress is my granny dress, the nudish pink dress in Tasha dress and under their dresses are their shoes!)
*****TERRANCE POV*****
Me and Jayce are on our way back to Miami on a regular plane so the ladies could use the jet. They are out shopping while me, Jayce and Mike set up for the wedding. Im surprising Naya with our parents at the wedding. Her dad who she hasn't seen in years because he's been in the army and my mom which she haven't met yet because she a doctor and don't get to travel much due to work but soon plans to move out here with us. They are both at a hotel. Her granny helped me get in touch with her dad because Naya lost touch when his base got bombed a while back. I know this surprise will have her on her toes. I still have a bad gut feeling but I could care less because today I am marrying my soulmate. I get a text. I look down and its from Naya.
****TEXT CONVERSATION****
Naya:Try not to make cry to much from the surprises.
T:Ill try. Im jus so ready to make you my wife.
Naya: I love you make sure you, Jayce, and Mike are dressed well and tell Jayce he's walking me down the Aisle.
T:lol I thought I could since you always calling me Daddy"
Naya: Boy BYEEEEE ! see you at the alter 😘 we're on the plane we're about 2 hours out.
T:Kiss Bailey for me. I love yall!

I place my phone down and take a quick nap.

********NAYA POV*******
My hands sweat with excitement as I wake from my nap. We're finally home. The driver grabs our things off the plane as we get in the truck. My granny keeps smiling at me. I know she's as excited as me she always tells me how's proud of me she is and how much she loves having Terrance as a grandson. We arrive at Terrance apartment building we click Jayce floor instead of Terrance floor. Jayce shots out the door right past us running saying "Everyone is inside ready to doll y'all up. We in Terrance condo if y'all need something" He stops at the elevator and says "Be ready by 2 y'all car will be down stairs waiting its 12:34." I walk in place; my stuff down and walk to my hair stylist. Tasha brings me the marriage license to sign. I start to cry as I sign my name. Then Tasha and Granny get there make up done as Bailey plays with toys. She did my hair in an updo bun. The doorbell ring. Its a man with 3 Bouquets of flowers. There was one big one with white and red roses and 2 small ones with yellow tulips which are my favorite. We all rotate places as I get my make up done, Granny gets her hair done and Tasha starts on Bailey head. We keep rotating. Finally we're done. I have a smokey eye with silver glitter. While my granny and Tasha have natural make up And curls. Bailey has a fro with her curls popping from a twist out I did earlier. I put on her headband and my crown. I pick up my phone and its 2:15. We head down stairs to the all white Escalade that was waiting out front. We pulled up at the docks. It was a pretty white set up. With a white long aisle and beach tents. We go to the tents and get ready. I slip into my dress looking amazing. Tears form in my eyes as I look in the mirror. I take a glance out the tent and see 3 chairs. I wonder who 2 are for cause only 1 is for my granny who is headed to her seat now. I quickly close the tent when I spot Mike leaving the other tent. I look in the mirror as do a spin. I yell "JAYCE IM READYYYYY to walk down the aisle." My heart starts beating as i hear "Why are you waiting on him if Im here" tears poor down my face as I turn around and see my Daddy. I run to his arms. In comes Tasha and Bailey. I tell him "MEET YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER & other Daughter" he laughs and kisses all of us on the forehead.
Im definitely ready to go now so I can hurt Terrance for this I told him don't make me cry to much. Music start to play its Brain McKnight "BACK AT ONE" . Me and my Dad walk out. Bailey and Tasha are in front of us. I try to hold in tears But I lay my eyes on a crying Terrance ! We get to the alter and he hands me away. I watch him go to his seat and spot a lady who looks just like Terrance  I cry more realizing its his mom.

******TERRANCE POV*****
"Do you lawfully take his woman to be your wife"
"I DO" tears poor down my face as I kiss Naya.
I introduce to yall "Mr and Mrs. Terrance Marques Codwell"
We're finally married. I pick up Bailey and we take pictures. 2 camera men; 1 recording and the other taking pictures. Everyone line up to take pictures and in the distance I see a truck pull up. I turn my head to Jayce and ask "WHO IS THAT?" He quickly say "IDK MANE". Mike tune in to the convo.

****POW POW POW****

I feel stinging in my shoulder and I hear screaming. My eyes slowly close as I hear "GET BAILEY OUT OF HERE AND CALL THE FOR HELP"

******NAYA POV******

I slowly listen to Terrance and Jayce convo. But I yell when I see Lashun running towards us with a gun. Gun shots rang out. Terrance, and Jayce were shot. As Lashun tried to make his next shot My dad shot him right in the head. Tasha feel to the ground holding Jayce. While I called 911 and got Bailey out of dodge. Terrance mother was holding his wound. Me and Bailey white dresses were covered in blood. My ears filled with her screams and tears. I rocked her as I talked on the phone. Quickly a fire truck and ambulance showed up. They transported Jayce first then soon after the other showed up for Terrance his mother rode with them. Lashun was pronounced dead on scene. My dad showed his army Id. And police soon let him go seeing how a big name Judge was officiating our wedding and described the story to them.

*****Hours Later****
I sat in the hospital in my wedding dress. My granny took Bailey home. It had been hours and no update on Jayce or Terrance. I held Tasha as she cried. Terrance mother was able to go in the back with him. The double doors soon swung open as Terrance mom came out crying and another doctor was behind her. "Ladies" he said as we stood up.
"Both the men are in critical condition we have performed the surgeries they're in recovery. You can go see them but they can't say much back. I'll let her explain the rest" Mike and my Dad walk in. I run over to him crying. Ms.Codwell start speaking "Jayce is braindead he's in a coma" "Terrance is also in a coma his heart stopped but we brought him back to life" I asked that they be placed in a room side by side. The doctor is working on it.
Mike grabs Tasha as her legs so weak. We walk in to see Jayce first he look as if he's sleeping. Tasha place a kiss on his forehead then walk with me to see Terrance. I walk back out the room its hurts me to see him like that. Terrance mother advise me and Tasha to spend time with Bailey to get our minds off of it. Mike stayed. We all get in the truck. My dad is on the phone requesting more vacation time. I hold Tasha as she hold her stomach. We pull up at Terrance house. I welcome everyone in as Bailey runs over to me. Terrance mother walks with Tasha down stairs to get her some clothes they return both in something different. My dad grabs some of Terrance short and a tee. We all stuff on the couch. Bailey jumping from arm to arm.
It then pops in my head that everyone needs to be introduced. I stand up and go in order as they are sitting on the couch. Everyone this is Tasha she has been my bestfriend for 2 years. She helped me get way from the crazy dude who shot T and Jayce.
My dad thanked her.
"How far along are you" asked Terrance mother
"17weeks I recently found out after being in denial for 16weeks lol" everyone laughed at Tasha.
"Bailey is my daughter . Dad I hate your jus now meeting her and T with all this crazy stuff but I know granny has been filling you in"
Ms.Codwell eyes glow "Hey granny baby your dad never stops mentioning you." Everyone this is Terrance mother he speaks so highly of her.
This is my dad ! My granny started coughing "Everyone knows me I helped Terrance set this all up"
We all laugh.
I go in the kitchen and notice its full of food. I guess this was for the reception. Everyone starts eating and I show everyone where they can sleep either in Terrance condo or Jayce's.
