A year on...

A year had passed so naturally change would take its course. However, one thing stayed the same: Sirius and Maxine talked everyday. It was slightly more difficult as summer came around because sending owls to James Potter's house would naturally aroused suspicion. Sirius and Maxine had agreed to speak again when the school term for their final year had begun. To much surprise, Max was finding it extremely hard to go a day without talking to Sirius; they were practically best friends at this point.

In the space of a year they both had changed; Max's bright red hair grew longer and more vibrant, her body bloomed and her face slimmed out too. Sirius' hair also grew long, in fact it was just past his shoulders and curling slightly at the end. His stubble grew and his smoking habits sadly remained. The biggest change of all was Sirius' behaviour; instead of acting like a moody grump in the time he was disowned, he started taking life by the horns and rode the bull with style! He was more lively, flirty, playful and overall happy... but of course he still is the grumpy one that everyone knows

The question is how long will it last and will Maxine and Sirius reveal to their friends that they are best friends!
