Many months had passed after Lexa's ascension. Titus had overseen her transition to Polis and security that now surrounded her. As the past has taught us even though the position of Heda was held in great honour, But  assassination by the misguided was always a possibility. The Order of The Flame were ever vigilant.
Much to the opposition of Titus, Lexa chose her own Generals, trusted allies she has known since childhood. I stood proudly beside her as one of them. My father's war chief, Gustus was another and Indra of TonDC was the third. Each of us loyal to our Heda.
Our time together was mainly spent around solving the ongoing problem of those who dwelt within Mount Weather. In the past we seemed powerless to fight them. Their wepons out matched ours, the toxic mist they released any time we marched on the the mountain killed our warriors instantly and then there were The Reapers. Mutated men that were once our kin, guarded the access tunnels to the mountain. The  experiments the Mountain Men were performing on those they kidnapped from our clans resulted in either death or the monsters that fed on our flesh.
As more and more of us were going missing, Lexa was determined to find a way to end the horrors they were bringing down upon us. This was the first time I'd heard her speak of a union of clans. She addressed us all about the vision she now had for her people, "When will the mountain cease to take from us? When they walk freely upon these lands with no protective suits, cured from the radiation that now holds them at bay? They won't stop! They take now and they'll take when they are free. I will not allow us to be wiped out by these men of the mountain! Only unity will give us the strength we need to finish this once and for all." She spoke defiantly.
It was a bold move a goal that seemed impossible to achieve. Titus had his doubts as did the rest of us, but Lexa never once wavered. Her mind was set on unification of clans fighting for our future. The infighting of Clans had to cease. By remaining fractured as a society we were giving the Mountain Men exactly what the wanted. They took us with greater ease when we were distracted by war, but all of the clans had their disputes and some were not so easily forgotten.
Such a unity seemed unattainable, a pipe dream for our people who, since the death of Becca Pramheda, had been at conflict with each other one way or another. No Commander had ever achieved such a goal, then again none of them were Lexa Kom Trikru.
