Xander”s POV,

   Shit Shit Shit! Why do I have to be such an Idiot!?

   “Shit Xander!” She said smacking my arm.

   “I’m sorry I didn’t bring one because I didn’t think about all of this.” I justified.

   “Ok don’t panic, it’s not like there’s any possibility you could have an STI...” She trailed off and looked at me. “Right?” She asked.

   “Oh God no.” I said laughing I hadn’t even thought of that and I haven’t had sex with anyone before Kat. “I was just worried cuz sex leads to kids and...” now it was my turn to trail off.

   “And you don’t want kids?” She asked looking disappointed.

   “Of course I do!” I almost shouted “Just not right now with everything that’s been going on. When we find a stable home and get away from these lunatics then maybe we’ll think about it, ok?” I asked looking her in the eyes.

   “Ok.” She smiled and I kissed her lips.

   “Ok but for right now I’ll go down to the drug store and get you ‘the morning after pill’, just in case, kay?” I asked and she nodded her head. I turned around to go and step out of the shower but she grabbed my arm and stopped me.

   “I love you, you know that right?” She asked.

   “Of course. I love you too.” I said and pecked her nose again. “I’ll be right back baby.” I winked and walked out getting dressed then walking out to the car.

Katerina’s POV

   I finished bathing, washing shaving and stuff like that, and then I walked out of the shower pulled on my clothes and walked out into the room seeing James was up.

   “Hey bud, why are you up so early?” I asked walking over to his and Nikes bed.

   “Couldn’t sleep with all the noise you and Xander were making.” He scoffed. I felt a blush rise to my cheeks.

     “Oh, sorry.” I said and he laughed.

    “Eh whatever.” He chuckled and I sat on my bed.

    “So did you go and see Katie last night?” I asked and a blush rose on his cheeks giving me my answer.

     “Yeah I did at about 4 this morning...” he trailed off and I laughed.

     “And she was actually up?” I asked.

    “Yeah. I got her number and address.” He smiled to himself.

    “Oh and that was it huh? Nothing more?” I asked and he blushed.

    “I’m gonna go have a shower, if you guys didn’t use all the hot water.” He sighed and I laughed as he got up going into the bathroom. I fell back on the bed hearing the water start to run.

    “Katerina?” Nikes small voice asked.

    “Yes sweetheart?” I asked looking over at her as she lay facing me.

    “Wheres Xandi?” she asked looking worried.

    “He went to the store to get something, don’t worry he’ll be back soon.” I promised and she nodded her tiny head. “Do you wanna watch some TV until he gets back?” I asked and she smiled nodding her head excitedly. I picked up the remote turning on the TV and looking through the channels.

   “OH! The wiggles!” Nike squealed and I clicked on it.

   “You like the wiggles?” I asked and she smiled “Me too!” I laughed and she giggled as we watched. A couple minutes later I heard the water turn off at the same time the front door open and close. I looked over to see Xander standing there. “Hey.” I smiled and he walked in sitting down beside me.

   “Here.” He said and gave me a pill.

   “Thanks.” I kissed his cheek popping the pill in my mouth reaching over grabbing my glass of water and drinking it.

   “Welcome.” He said once I swallowed it. James walked out of the bathroom with his hair still wet typing away on his phone. “Who are you texting?” Xander asked.

   “Katie.” James stated simply.

   “Ok. No texting people from back home.” Xander told James and his head snapped up to look at Xander.

   “What?” James practicly yelled.

   “No talking to anyone from back home.” Xander stated trying to keep his cool. “You don’t know who your real friends are and we can’t take that chance.” Xander explained.

   “You’re funny. I finally find friends somewhere and I can’t talk to them!? That’s shit” he yelled and Nike started to cry so I went and sat with her.

   “Out in the hallway now.” Xander said through gritted teeth.

   “No, you’re not my dad! Your nothing to me.” James laughed in his face.

   “Come with me you little rat.” I said getting up and dragging James out by the ear. When the door was firmly closed I turned to him. “You ungrateful little ass!” I said quietly so as not to disturb the neighbors.

   “He can’t tell me what to do!” He screamed in my face.

   “Keep it down we don’t need people complaining! You will listen to him because in case you haven’t we’re in a life or death situation and we don’t need a spoiled little brat killing us all!” I whispered harshly.

   “Why can’t we just go home!? I don’t like being on the run like this.” He whispered the last part.

   “And you think I do? This is not how I wanted our lives to come to. This shouldn’t be something you or Nike or any of us have to go through but this is how it is and we have to make the best of it. We can not go turning on each other or we will surly die. Do you understand?” I asked and he nodded looking down. “Good now go tell Xander you are sorry.” I said and pushed him to the door. He walked in side and stood in front of Xander.

   “I’m sorry for being an ass even though you deserved it.” He said and Xander laughed.

   “It ok. If you were any other person I wouldn’t have hesitated to drop you and next time you do or say something like that again I will drop you.” Xander said and James looked back at me.

   “I would let him.” I smiled and then laughed at James’ worried expression. “Oh don’t worry I would let him hurt you... too badly.” I laughed again.

   “Okay, let’s get this show on the road!” Xander announced.

   “Ok. Are we going to stop off somewhere to get some new clothes?” I asked and he smiled.

   “Yup.” He said then. ‘We don’t have any money left...’ He said through our mind link.

   ‘Then how did you get the pill?’ I asked.

   ‘Think about it...’ He trailed off.

   ‘Xander! You can’t steel!’ I scolded him.

   ‘Babe we gotta.’ He sighed.

   ‘Fine, I don’t like it but we’ll have to go to a store with change rooms. We go into the change rooms put the clothes on stuff our old clothes in our backpacks and then walk out.’ I sighed.

   ‘And you would know this how?’ He smirked.

   ‘Oh... no reason...’ I laughed. “Ok when we get to the store James and Xander you will be on food duty and me a Nike will be on clothes duty.” I said and they nodded.

  “You said duty.” Xander laughed and I glared at him. Oh god this is going to be fun! Note the sarcasm.
