On Saturday morning I woke up fairly early and started to watch Attack on Titans. I got up to get my stash of Oreo cookies, shoved them in my face and washed it down with some milk. No one can live a better life than laying on their bed watching anime and eat processed foods. I dozed in and out of sleep until about ten twenty. That was when Lolly jumped on my stomach almost making me puke. "Hey!" I yelled. She looked at me with puppy eyes and licked her mouth. "Okay. Okay. I'm getting up!" I said rolling out my covers. I walked downstairs with Lolly trailing behind me as if I had gum stuck up my ass. When I finished feeding her I took my shower and got ready to go to the mall.
Thirty minutes later-
"Hey, Dad I'm going out. I'll be back later." I yelled through his door. At first, I didn't get a response so I tried again.
"Daaad...hey I um--"
"Hey, Adei. What do you need?" he asked with tired eyes.
"I'm going to the mall. I'll be back later." I said looking at the pile of papers scattered all over his bed
"Oh. Okay...What are you going to do?"
"Tsk. Like you give a tiny rats ass what I do with my life." I thought but said nothing instead.
"Do you need me to give you a ride or borrow my car?" he asked hesitantly. I hate it when someone says something they don't mean. Especially when there's no need for it just because they want to fill in the silence.
"No! I'm okay thank you." I answered him back.
"Okay then see you later," he said and shut the door before I walked away.
"Yeah later," I mumbled and rushed down the stairs.
"Adeline!... Don't do anything stupid!" he yelled down the stairs.
Translation- Be careful and watch your surroundings. I don't want something bad happening and I have to get you or have to end up paying any medical bills.
"Okay got it," I yelled back and finally left the house.
The mall was only a few blocks away so it didn't take me long to get there. When I did, I cruised through Spencer's, Hot Topic, Forever 21, Famous Footwear, and the food court. I ended up getting a couple more things than I expected so I left the mall in a happy mood. I'm not much of a shopper, but I can definitely find discounts.
By two-thrifty I started to walk back home, but instead of going through the neighborhood I took a long way back taking me to the park. I was a bit tired so I sat down on the grass. It was moist and I knew that I would have a grass stain. I laid down with my bags as a pillow. I didn't care if people thought I was homeless because truth be told I looked like one. One that has enough money to go shopping.
"Excuse me, Miss?" I heard someone ask.
I looked over my shoulder and saw an elderly woman
"Yes?" I asked in a daze.
"Are you alright?"
"Huh?... Oh yes, I am. Thank you."
"Well, I'm glad. I'm Denisse. And who are you?"
"Um...Adeline."
"Oh, that's great. Well nice to meet you. God Bless you. God bless now." she said shaking my hand and walked away.
A/N~ Hey guys! Some of you guy might think that that was weird, but I actually had it happen to me. I don't remember the lady's name, but let me tell you I was surprised. She came back to me twice and practically had the same conversation over. A few days later I went back and she was there again just walking up to random people and probably saying the same thing to them and I was one of them. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you. I hope you guys aren't bored with my story just yet. :-)
