Beep..Beep...Beep...Be--
On the fourth beep, I got up and turned off my alarm. I went to go pee and brushed my teeth. Walking back to my room I remembered about Aidan texting me last night. I rushed to go get it and found it with zero life. I should've known that this was going to happen. I immediately charged it and looked at it as if it was going to go from zero to hundred in an instant. Not trying to trip out about it I went to go change. Something told me that it was going to be a hot day so I put on my jean shorts, a Walking Dead t-shirt and bottomed it off with my torn faded red converse. I was really hungry and in a good mood so I decided to make some breakfast and "accidentally" make "extra" so my father can have some. I was still angry with him from yesterday, but no angry enough to starve him. I needed to make sure that he wasn't going to change his mind about the money. Even if he doesn't eat it it will still be waiting for him when he gets up from the bed. I baked a batch of fresh blueberry muffins, cooked some bacon and sausage, and made some coffee. I cleaned up after myself and packed four muffins in my bag. I unplugged my phone and remembered that I had a portable charger, but unfortunately, I couldn't find it before I had to leave so I had to manage with 20% for the day. I walked past my Dad's room and heard him crying again. What a sad man.I thought and started walking to school. About midway, my phone blew up
Unknown: Good morning Adeline!
Unknown: You up?
(Five minutes later)
Unknown: Well I guess not or you're trying to avoid me, but I doubt it
Unknown: Anyways when you do wake up text me
Unknown: Better yet don't just leave me worrying...I'll be happier to see you
Unknown: Hey so can you meet me at the field when you get to school?
Unknown: Or not I'll come to the conclusion of you being mad still
Unknown: I have to talk to you...okay bye now
I read the messages with a smile and did exactly what he asked me to. When I got there I looked for Aidan, but couldn't find him. Quite not ready to think that I was being played with I walked farther into the field to where the trees started. I scanned around and yet no sign of him. I took a deep breath and tried to analyze the different scenarios that might have happened. I stood in the shade with my back against the school. There was suddenly a person on my back which caused me to scream and elbow them in the ribs.
"Awwww!"He dropped me to my feet and I turned around. Aidan was rubbing his side.
"Aidan! I'm sorry!"
"No worries. I didn't think that you had such a strong arm. I'm glad." he said trying to hide the pain with a smile.
I smiled and said, "Don't underestimate a girl. You'll be surprised at how strong they can be."
"I'm glad that you came and I'm sorry for being late." He added even though he wasn't since we never really set a time for it.
"You're not. Anyway about last night-"
"Yeah I'm not sorry for that." he interrupted me.
"What was that about? What is this about?" I finished saying.
"Well...that's the thing...I-I wasn't...I had to for some reason. I don't know why I did it, but I did." he scratched the back of his neck. I already could tell that he did that when he was nervous or unsure of something.
"Well...I guess I'm okay with that. I don't really know the trouble that you went through to get my number, but I don't want you snooping through files anymore."
