'The neighbor next door said she saw (f/n) carried out the house by a cloaked man. There were more who followed. But what would they want from her? Is she bait to lower me out?' Shikamaru frowned as he was deep in thoughts.
"I've lost many friends, role models, including my teacher,...my father. I'm not losing her."
"Shikamaru!" Ino cried as she ran into his arms.
She sobbed and repeated "why?"
"You heard?"
"Everyone heard!" She yelled.
"Ino, clam down, be strong."
He tries to clam her down from nearly going into a panic attack.
"Shikamaru, she's pregnant!"
Everyone stops what they're doing only to feel ashamed.
"Wh-what?"
"And I think it has to do with her pregnancy."
"What makes you say that?"
"It'll be better if we go to her parent's house."
They arrived shortly and discuss the situation.
"Shikamaru, do you remember what you said to me when you asked me to merry my daughter?" Dad spoke after a moment of silence.
"That I'll do whatever it takes to make (f/n) feel safe"
"Yes, there's not a day she'll tell me she's opposite from that. even the most common days when you are working overnight." He softly chuckles.
"Yet, you don't look eye to eye with me?" He includes.
"Sorry, I feel it's hard to. I disappointed (y/n) and you both."
"Nonsense, you did so much and had no idea of this." Father said.
"I would've thought my daughter would tell you this about our clan. It's rare to know there's still people hunting us though." Mom says.
"I see, thank you. I feel sightly better." He smiles only to go back to serious "Can you tell me, what does her pregnancy have to do with this?"
"I can answer that-" Mom assisted. "For years we (l/n)'s planned our pregnancy carefully and we're protected at all time. Yes we are the weaker clan...easy to give life to the dead through childbirth. Whoever these people are, they must be worshipers trying to bring back a "god" or legendary. And they must have known about (f/n)'s pregnancy for weeks, professionally stalking. When she confirmed it today, they probably couldn't wait longer.." Mom was very calm even though her face did not show it.
It was late afternoon by then.
"Shikamaru, we found a trace. The dog's sniffed her out to an odd area below ground." A ninja who approach the house, addressed.
"finally! I'm coming up with a strategy, tell the others!" Shikamaru says impainatly.

You were tied upwards to a cross. The boss made sure you were tightly wrapped.
"Soon, Itsuki will be awaken!"
The cult cheered.
"*ahem*" one of the guard called for attention.
"What?! What is it?!" The boss was furious that the guard interrupted their celebration.
"We have a small problem"
The cult go silent from the raise of the boss' hand.
"And what's that?"
"This leaf ninja tracked us." The other guard came in with a grip on ino, who's arms were tied to her back.
"Ino!" You cried.
"(f/n)" Ino cried.
"We're you alone?!" The boss yelled.
"Is that really a smart question? What do you think?" She smirks.
"You little bitch!" He pulls her to her knees.
"Why are you all still here, attack any ninja out there!"
The cult upraored.
'Shikamaru, she's in a stable condition. The cult knows we're here.' Ino signals shikamaru using her clan special jutsu.
'Perfect, you think you can keep the boss busy and keep (a/n) safe at the same time? I'll send ninjas for help.' Shika signals back.
'Well my hands are tied...I'll see what I got.' She confirms.
"Hey bitch, look me in the eyes!" He demand it.
