Eli's POV:
UGH! Stupid fundraisers! Why am I even doing this?
I'm Eli Esmay. A quiet simple girl with my own opinions. I'm nice yet I don't like being bothered, and this? This is RIDICULOUS.
"Why did I agree to do her a favor?.. Mandy, I will kill you.." I mumbled under my breath. I walked up to my fifteenth house today. It's not like anyone is going to buy a stupid coupon book anyways. I rang the door bell. Then, HE opened the door. Oh, god. I've seen him at school before, but I've never talked to him. Yeah, he's gorgeous, doesn't have many friends.. Oh, Great! Now I feel bad for not talking to him! Wait, he's saying something! Get with the program Eli!!!
"Hello? Back to Earth, Eli.." He said gently shaking me by my shoulders. OH GOD, he's touching me!
"Uhhh, what?" I said moronically. "Are you alright, Eli? You've been zoned out for a good 10 minutes." His. Eyes. Are. Gorgeous. "Wait, how do you know my name? And yes, I'm fine." I replied sort of annoyed at how calm he is and my racing pulse. "Well, you're in some of my classes, people talk about you, and I've seen you around. By the way, are you here to see my sister, Priscilla?"
I looked at him for a moment to register what he was talking about. Then I realized. "Ahaha, no. I never talk to her. I'm here selling a coupon book. They're 10 dollars each and are very useful. It's for my friend's church. I'm just helping out."
He smiled at me and grabbed the order list. He wrote his information down and handed me 40 dollars. "Woah, woah. You don't have to be THAT generous!" I said shocked. He laughed a bit, "Sorry, I just want to be a good person like you and help." That made me laugh a little. He's really nice. I glanced down at the sheet. "Umm, hey. I don't need your phone number." I said awkwardly. He looked at the paper and said nonchalantly "Oh yea... Well, I think you do need it." He looked at me flirtatiously. Oh. My. God. I giggled and was probably blushing like an idiot. "Ohhhh, hehehe. Okay." I smiled so much my face hurt. "Okay, well.. I'm going to go sell some more! Nice meeting you!"
I rushed away, blushing, and my head spinning. Did that really just happen? Is this a dream? I pinched myself and yelled alloud "Ouch!!!" Okay, definitely NOT a dream. Wait, I have his number. Should I text him? No, no, no. It's too early. He'll be creeped... I took out my phone and typed in the number. This is so stupid. I sent a text to him.
"Hey, Damien. (:" People always use smiley faces... Right?
He replied "Hello there, Gorgeous." Oh. My. God. He's so sweet,
"Wanna hang out later?" What can I say? I took a chance!
"Sure. Come back to my house in an hour. You're gonna help me shop. (;"
What does he mean by that? "Okay." I honestly didn't mind.
2 Hours Later:
I showed up at his house and knocked. How come waiting for him to answer seemed like forever? He finally opened the door with his keys, wallet, beanie, and belt all jumbled in his hand. "Hey, Sorry. I took a nap and.. yeah." He said nervously. "It's fine." I smiled as he put on his beanie and belt. He put his wallet in his back pocket and grabbed my hand. "Come on." He said as he clicked the unlock button for his car. He opened my door for me. Awwwww!
We went to the music shop in downtown. Apparently 'shopping' means looking at guitars but only buying strings and picks. Once we were done, he grabbed my hand again. "Let's go get some icecream, Beautiful." I blushed and everyone on the sidewalk was staring. One person called us a cute couple. I'm not dating him! Yet, he didn't say that. Neither did I..
