Ann's POV
I screamed and thrashed against Kendall and his strong grasp. He isn't even effected by me, and I'm fighting as much as I can. I swing my knee up and made contact with the spot in between his legs. He screamed and fell off the bed and I leaped up, running for the door at full speed.
I threw open the door and ran down an unfamiliar hallway, and then the boy named Carlos ran up and caught me by the wrists. I stared into his eyes in shock.
“I won't hurt you. I promise," he said.
“Kendall's after me!" I exclaimed, then I fell against Carlos, sobbing.
“Okay. I'm gonna take you to James or to your sister."
He scooped me up in his arms and carried me downstairs in a flash.
“Carlos?"
He turned and saw James, and Logan came up the stairs with Elaine at his side. A sob escaped me again, and I tried to reach out for her.
Carlos set me down and I ran over, throwing my arms around my sister.
“Carlos, what's happening?" Logan asked.
“Kendall is trying to kill my Mate and her sister. That's what. He's the one who first kidnapped Ann," James said.
“Your mate? James, we're kids!" Elaine protested.
He looked at me. “You're both vampires. Just like us."
“What . . . ?" I breathe, staring at Elaine and James.
That's why I've felt different ever since I woke up after I fell into a coma? Kendall Turned me?
“Okay guys, uh, Ann's bleeding really bad. We need to get her healed and the two of them safe," Carlos said.
“Kendall is now our enemy. Logan, carry Elaine." James picked me up in his arms. “Carlos, hold Kendall off and meet us you know where."
Carlos nodded and ran upstairs.
James and Logan ran and held us tight as they ran out of the house and up to a big, black car. They buckled us in the backseat and they too buckled up, then drove off.
