Chapter Four

      ~Attack on Erica~

          'What the hell is that' Erica thought to look at the creature 'it looks familiar yet I have never seen it in my life' she thought looking more scared and frightened. The thing just looked at her like it was waiting for something but all Erica did was stand still too scared to move. Erica tried to move a little but just as she moves her right foot back the creature tries to scratch her just as it did, something or someone comes from behind her and blocks the creature before it could even lay a finger on her.

-before Erica's attack-
"I came to look for someone a girl who is very special to me," Jake said looking at Scotty. Scotty laughed a little "aren't we all" he told Jake. Jake laughed too "yeah but this girl is special in different ways I have a mission to protect her and bring her back to my world so that she could help save my people," he told Scotty giving him a serious look. Scotty was a little taken back who could be so important, and why would they need protection if they were that powerful. The only person that really comes to mines that he knows of that has powers was Erica but she has never told him that she was from another world and she tells him everything.

Well, Scotty was thinking. Jake stud up and started walking away from Scotty getting the attention of Scotty "Hey where are u going" Scotty asked also standing up to stop him from leaving "I have to go I need to finish my mission" Jake told him and start walking away but didn't get far once he got dizzy and started falling. Luckily Scotty caught him before he fell on his face "wait let me help you." Scotty said and sat him down "just wait my friend should be back with some water and maybe food 'if she hasn't eaten it on the way back' so just wait for her please," Scotty said trying to convince him to stay "fine but as soon as she gets back I have to leave," Jake said settling down

Just as things calmed down Jake and Scotty heard a scream "that sounded like Erica" Scotty said standing up looking in the direction of where Erica used to be and gets worried "Wait Erica as in Erica Williams" Jake asked putting a hand on Scotty's shoulder getting worried as well and standing up with him "yeah, why" Scotty asked looking very confused on how Jake had known Erica's name.
     Just then something clicked in Scotty's mined and he got it the person that Jake is trying to find is her. "That's the person I'm looking for she's in danger," Jake told him getting even more worried than he always was and that's what confirmed it for Scotty. Just then they heard another scream. "okay well if that is her what are we just doing here... we have to help" Scotty said helping Jake as they go running to help Erica.
As they get to the place where they had heard the scream come from they turned a corner just in time to see a creature about to claw at Erica. Just about when it was about to scratch her Jake used all the strength he had to push him and Erica out of harm's way "Erica" Scotty had shouted running to go see if she and Jake were okay. 

"oh so your Erica well it's nice to meet you I'm Jake and we need to talk," Jake said to Erica holding out a hand for her. Erica takes it and shakes it then he helps her up "oh Hi Nice to meet u but we could talk some more when we're not in danger of a ravish eating dog with rabbit ears," Erica said as her, Scotty and Jake all got in a fighting position "wow, wow, wow you sure you can fight with all those injures 'Boy wonder'" Scotty said with a smirk on his face " don't mean to brag but I've got more experience in this then you do" Scotty continued trying to stretch out his arms.
"I appreciate the concern but I can take care of myself plus I think I have more experience with this creature then you do," Jake said back to Scotty with a smirk "if you say so just don't get your pretty little face too hurt," Scotty told him with a little smile and then glared at him. "sure"
Jake said back also having a little smile and glare at Scotty. Erica just stood their not so sure what to do or how to break the tension between them. Just then the creature tries to claw at them again Jake pulls out his sword and holds out in front of him. Erica pulls out the daggers she has for emergencies and as you can see this is an emergency, well Scotty holds out his fist in front of him with one of his blades in his hand.
All at once they charged at the beast. Jake swings his sword, trying to get a hit at close range well Scotty tries to help in punching and using his blade getting in some swings and cutting the beast a couple of times. Well, Erica runs around the beast throwing her daggers and kicking at the beast.
   Taking in little damage the beast swings at all of them and throwing all of them back. Erica tries to sit up as the beast looks her way and speaks "you are the one who I need I will spare the others if u come with me" it says taking steps closer to Erica "oh no you don't" Scotty says with that he and Jake get up and run. Scotty picks Erica up and they all start running trying to find somewhere safe "okay guys this is going to be very complicated ill distracted him and you guys get away here take this it's a crystal portal it will take you to my world" Jake say well they run handing Scotty a weird blue crystal with Erica in his arms "what about you" Erica says getting a little worried about him "yeah what are you going to do your injured" Scotty said also getting somewhat worried "I'll be fine just go Ill meet you there" he tells them to run in a different direction and the beast following him
As Erica and Scotty come to a stop hiding "what the hell is going on and why is that thing after me" Erica said getting all freaked out "Erica calm down we should just do what Jake told us to do it's for your own safety okay" Scotty said trying to calm down Erica "what why how can you trust that. What if he's just as dangerous as that monster" Erica said still freaking out and getting all paranoid, walking back and forth after Scotty had put her down.
"Erica I think after everything that has happen we can at least try to trust him, and if not  I'll always be here to protect you remember that okay" Scotty tells her pulling her into a tight hug and just holding her. She leans into him and lets him hold her taking in his sent "I know Scot I'm just a little scared ok" Erica said shaking a little. In all the days Scotty had known Erica never had he ever felt her ever shake with fear he vowed at that moment her would keep Erica safe 
Just then the moment was ruined but that beast Scotty had sensed. It had moved him and Erica out of the way Erica had screamed and Scotty throws the crystal opening up a portal and throwing him and her throw it.
