Chapter 12: Aware

Kelly~

It seemed as though time stopped as we were staring at the gun. People back stage were screaming and running all over the place but we couldn't.

"Jay, what are you doing?" Bey asked trying to remain calm. Her arms were wrapped tightly around my waist still

Jay tapped the gun against his head

"You left me for some pússy? Really?" I rolled my eyes.

If only he knew this pússy was bomb as fúck.

Beyoncé moved Michelle and I behind her.

"This has nothing to do with her okay, this has to do with me and you." Beyoncé was slowly walking towards him but I tried to grab her.

"Bey.." I mumbled

"It's okay Kells.." I stared into her eyes and almost let her go until Shawn fired a shot into the air. I quickly pulled Beyoncé into me wrapping one arm around her waist.

I quickly pulled Beyoncé behind me and started walking towards Shawn with my hands up.

"Listen this has to do with me and you... please don't hurt anyone that doesn't have anything to do with this." This nigga started to cry, I tried to reframe from rolling my eyes.

"What do you have that I don't huh? Why is she with you and not me? What makes you so special?" He sounded like a real asś female right now I don't know if it was the alcohol. Or if he was just really like this in general.

"Nothing.. I'm not special at all. I know it may seem like I took her from you but.. I don't know how any of this happened. Beyoncé has broken my heart God knows she has, and I'm sure you're heartbroken too. You'll find someone though, someone will love you the way you want and need to be loved one day." He started to lower the gun in his drunken stance.

"You took away something I loved, now I'm gonna take away something you love." My face scrunched up in confusion

Before I could stop he raised the gun to Michelle and fired off two shots into her chest.

"NO!!" I screamed, I ran over to her and Beyoncé.

"Freeze!" The cops surrounded Shawn. He dropped the gun and surrender on his knees.

"Oh my god Chelle can you hear me?" Beyoncé cried, she was applying pressure to one wound while I was applying pressure to the other. "You've gotta stay up Chelle fight the sleep, tell me something anything."

"I-I want y-you guys to be happy" she coughed out. "I l-love you both so much."

"No you're not doing that! You're going to fight this! You're going to be okay! You have to be okay." I cried as the ambulance rushed in.

At the hospital there was total silence, I looked down at my dress and it was blood everywhere.

Everyone was here including my family, Michelle's family, and Bey's too. They had been operating on Michelle for hours and gave us no updates. I looked over at Beyoncé and saw she was a mess too. I pulled her into my lap and she started to cry into my chest. I kissed the side of her head.

"This is all my fault." I gently rubbed her backed.

"Hey don't you dare blame yourself this was all his doing Bey"

"I saw him drunk earlier that night Kelly, I could have stopped him, I could have told them to watch him or not let him in or something!" I made her look at me.

"You couldn't have known he would do this Bey.." I whispered "It's no one's fault but his, and he's going to pay for doing this to our girl."

"How much longer?!" We turned our attention to Kelly's mom yelling at the nurse.

"I'm sorry ma'am the doctor will not be releasing any information until the morning."

"That's my baby back there!" Michelle's mom broke down into her father's arms.

Tears streamed down my face, I hated this.

"How about you two go home and get some rest." My mom and Bey's mom came up to us.

"We can't, we need to know she's okay mom." Beyoncé said.

"You heard the nurse they aren't releasing any information until the morning, so go home, get changed and sleep for a couple of hours. We'll call you if anything changes." Kelly's mom said, we both sighed but caved in. It was going on four in the morning and we'd be back in a couple of hours.

We called the car around and decided to go to Bey's house. She laid her head on the top of my shoulder and I kissed the top of it.

The car ride home was silent, all I could think about was Michelle. We pulled up to my two story modern home, the driver opened our door and we thanked him for tonight. I took off my heels in the driveway, my feet were literally killing me. Without me even asking Kelly picked me up bridal style and carried me.

We went right upstairs to my master bathroom, no words were exchanged as she pulled down my dress leaving me in my lace thong.

I turned her around, she lifted up her hair as I unzipped her dress. She took off her heels and undergarments as I started the shower and turned my stereo on.

She was the first to get in as I got the playlist ready and joined her. Taking a wash cloth and dove soap, I saw Kelly pick hers up too but I stopped her.

"Let me.."

I admired Kelly as I washed her back, kissing her shoulder I felt her shiver. I moved the wash cloth to the front of her and started massaging her breast but continuing to bathe her. A low moan escaped from her lips as I repeated the action.

I continued bathing her and washing her off until I felt like I was done. I took another wash cloth and was about to do myself until she gently took it from my hands.

"Now let me.."

I nodded and let her start.  Once she turned me around I crashed my lips into hers.

"I love you so much.." I cried. I wrapped my arms around her neck and let the water run as I continued to cry. "I just want her to be okay.." I said through the tears

"She will be Bey.. She has to be." I saw the tears run down her cheeks and wiped them. She continued on getting me clean, I just wish tonight would have went so much different.

I looked into her eyes and knew I made the right decision, I couldn't imagine my life without her.

We laid in bed in nothing but our under garments. I pulled Kelly into me and  spread the cover out on both of us. The sun was barely rising as I was drifting to sleep.

I woke up to loud ringing

"Mmmm Bey get it." I reached over and grabbed her phone. Seeing it was her mom I answered.

"Hello?" I mumbled

"Girls get down here quick! They're finally telling us the news about Michelle!"
