It's been a few years since I've last seen my father. A lot has happened: me and Owen got married and had a few kids. This was the happiest I've ever been since my mother died. My kids always ask what happened to grandpa, but I always tell them he's to far away to visit. I love them, but I refuse to tell them of how much of an ass he was to me. At least, I won't tell them until they're older. I honestly don't think I would've made it this far without Owen or Alex, who is happily married with his own set of munchkins.
We live in a beautiful house in California, with a wonderful view of the ocean. Sometimes my past comes back to haunt to me. Memories of being abandoned try to bring me down, but I know that Owen is always there to bring me back to reality. I truly am happy with where I am and the family I have.
