Prologue

145 Years ago Phoenix 3rd pov

It's been five years since I appeared in Emerald forest. I didn't know why I was here or how I got here. For years I watched as Grimm and Humans would attack and kill each other. But at the time I didn't know what I was let alone what they were. I would just watch and stay in the shadows as they would fight each other. I didn't understand at the time why the Grimm didn't attack me, but I did understand that I didn't even exist in their eyes.

But one fateful day the most evil man I would know for a long time would appear in front of me.

???: Hello young man. What are you doing out here?

I couldn't talk at the time so I just stared at him. After a while he then spoke once again.

???: Do u have any parents?

I just shook my head when he asked this.

???: Do you live near by?

I nodded this time, this shocked the man.

???: Well do you want to take me to where you live?

I then grabbed his hand and took him to a cave in Emerald Forest. When we arrived at the cave I pointed at it, trying to show that I live here.

???: Is this where you live?

I nod in response.

???: Have you lived here all your life?

Again I nod. He then smiled at me and said with his hand out.

??? : Come with me little one I'll look after you from now on.

I hesitated for a short moment then took his hand. He smiled at me as we started to walk away.

What I didn't realize was that I just aloud a devil to look after me. And today would be the last day I would breathe in the fresh air.

20 Years later Dr Adam Connors pov

It's been twenty years since i found that abomination in the forest. And in that time the other scientists and I discovered that the Grimm don't even bother looking at it. We found it stranger that the freak doesn't need sleep, food, water or anything humans need to survive. We decided to start doing tests on it, the first test we did was stabbing it with a knife, the freak screamed in pain telling us that it does indeed feel pain. We decided on having the tests last for five days then letting it recover for the other two. By doing this we have done 1058 tests on it. These tests range from simple impalement to organ removal.

We have come to believe that the abomination was born without a soul, because of this we have been trying to see if there is anything that can kill it. What we do know is that it doesn't have an aura let alone a semblance, but it is somehow capable of unleashing extreme physical strength and speed. The freak can punch with the force 1,000 tonnes at full power, and can move at speeds reaching Mach 1.5. Due to this it's arms and legs are completely chained at all times with titanium and carbon fiber chains and shackles. So far the little freak has killed almost two dozen guards and scientists. This is one of the main reasons why it has had its movement restricted, the other is so when we do tests we will leave the arms and legs intact to help speed up the recovery time.

We will continue to do more tests on the little freak and see if it has a possible weakness, and if we do we will put this abomination down for good.

65 years later Dr Cathrine Southstar pov

It has been sixty-five years since Dr Connors discovered the test subject in Emerald Forest. It has also been twelve years since I have taken over as head scientist. Dr Connors was killed by the test subject while changing the titanium shackles.
