Upgrades Part 1

Currently team RWBY and my team are in Phoenix's forge as today he has completed creating our weapons with the help of Ruby. Legion brought over boxes with our weapons inside it and Phoenix explains the upgrade for each weapon while handing us our weapons.

He first hands Ren StormFlower before he starts to explain the upgrades.

Phoenix: Ren, for starters I made your weapon lighter as you can probably tell, this will add to the flexibility you have in battle. Secondly, I increased the damage and accuracy of the guns as I noticed they couldn't hit anything past ten meters, to combat this I have made the barrel of the gun thinner while the nozzle at the end is twice as long. Now the range has doubled, and the increased damage of every round is twice its original specs. Next, I made the blades sharper and stronger, they also be turned into a sword for extra reach in close combat as I noticed they would be limited in a fight against someone with bladed weapons. Lastly Ruby told me that StormFlower can't retract its size much so I changed that for you, this belt when worn will act to hold your weapons to your side and when connected to the belt they will retract into a rectangle and will be three times its original size.

He then past over the belt over and a small piece of tech to which Ren had a confused look.

Phoenix: That is a microchip that will attach itself to the back of your neck by doing so it will allow you to activate your weapons just by thought, you will also be able to have your weapons change with just a thought as well. There is one last feature, the microchip will help increase the strength of your aura and over time your aura will become stronger than other huntsmen your age, although it will hurt a little, but I made it so that before you attach it to your neck that it was synced up to your DNA, so your body won't reject it to badly.

Ren then connect the chip to his neck and once he did he grunted slightly before stopping and look at Phoenix with a surprised look on his face then asked.

Ren: Is there anything you forgot to tell us about the chip Phoenix?

Phoenix: Hmm, oh Yer! When the chip attaches itself to its host it will enhance your brain functions to help you in your daily life and the enhancement is different for each person as it greatly enhances your best abilities while only slightly enhances your weaker ones. You will have practice getting use to your enhanced abilities, take ruby for example she right now is testing her abilities in the other room. She is already fast but now her speed is about three to four times faster now.

We all gasp in surprise then put the chips on our necks, when the chip attached itself to me I felt a strange pain rush through my spine, after ten seconds the pain stopped, and my mind felt clear. I then looked at my weapons and armour wondering what Phoenix did to upgrade them. He then walked to Nora and started to explain the upgrades.

Phoenix: Nora your weapon was quite the challenge, due to your semblance uses electricity to power you up I had to come up with a way to improve the conductivity of Magnhild but as only one of the metals I use to forge conduct electricity so I had to use mostly carbon fiber with some silver added to it but I also created a device that will allow you to create artificial electricity to power you up whenever its necessary for you to get your strength back. I also upgraded your grenade launcher to have increased range and to have a larger ammo compacity and will also propel itself faster when in hammer mode.

He then walked over to me and smiled making me blush scarlet and look away from him to which he said.

Phoenix: Pyrrha your weapons and armour were a lot harder to upgrade for several reasons due to this I put it off to last and is still getting upgraded so can you come back in two days and I'll have yours ready by then. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Pyrrha: Ah! Oh, no its ok I can wait a little longer no need to rush.

Phoenix: Thank you for being so understanding. You can stay and hang out if you'd like to, you can also try my training facility, it's better than the schools.

As I smile at him he smiled back and walked over to Jaune handing him his weapon and shield.

Phoenix: Jaune I didn't want to change to much of Crocea Mors since you told me that it's a family heirloom, instead I added minor changes like reducing its weight and strengthen it. First the sword is made a combination of forty percent of both titanium and carbon fiber with the rest of it being made of sanctum 001. For the shield I made it from Sanctum as its far stronger than any of my metals and is the lightest, but it isn't heat resistant it can withstand heat of three hundred degrees Celsius so inside the shields glove is a layer of high-temperature insulation wool to combat this weakness. With your chip you'll be able to change its form into three different forms. First is the shield mode, second is standby mode which is when it's an arm sleave and finally is cannon mode.

Before Phoenix could continue to explain Jaune Interrupted saying.

Jaune: Wait!... You just said cannon mode. What do you mean cannon mode? I'm not trying to kill anyone.

Phoenix: If you let me finish Jaune I was going to say that it's an air cannon that will fire ring of condensed air at over one hundred and fifty to two hundred kilometres per hour depending on how much air has been compressed into it. Now that's everything, do you like it?

He looked at Jaune worriedly as I could tell he didn't want Jaune to not like it. I looked at Jaune in a confused manner wondering what the problem could be

Jaune: You said minor upgrades you call these minor upgrades?

Phoenix: Yes, why? I was going to do a lot more to it until I remembered it is an heirloom. But Is there a problem with it?

Even I start to worry until Jaune reassured him by saying.

Jaune: No not at all, it's just... not what I thought minor changes would be. Although I think this is amazing until I find my semblance this will give me more options in a fight.

I smile happily towards Phoenix and Jaune, seeing my best friend and someone that hasn't had the best life get along makes me extremely happy. Phoenix then moved towards Weiss and hands her Myrtenaster which she takes excitedly before explaining the upgrades.
