I pulled up to the park, at 2:30. Traffic is what made me late. I sent Johnson a text, and waited for him to run up to my car.

"Hey Lina" he huffed.

"Hey Johnson" I replied, unbuckling my seatbelt.

"The rice is in the back but it's heavy" I said. He nodded.

"Can't let the princess struggle now can we?" He teased. I smiled, and got out of the car, following him towards where everyone was. The guys were playing football, and Jack was grilling. Johnson placed the food on the table, and I greeted the guys from a far, they were sweaty and I wasn't up for them touching me like that. They waved from a far, and I made my way to the grill.

"What ya grilling?" I asked. He smiled and motioned towards the grill.

"Burgers, chicken, steak, hot dogs. You know the usual" he said flipping a burger.

"Need help with anything?" I asked.

"Put some music, and keep me company" he said.

"I can do that" I replied. I connected my phone to his beats pill and hit shuffle on my Spotify. Say you won let go, by James Arthur began playing.  I pulled a seat next to him and sat down. We hummed with the song, and I scrolled through my phone.

"Lina" jack said. I looked up and saw him holding his phone. I flashed a smile/ quick pose and he smiled. After typing something he slipped his phone in his pocket. We began chatting, and he cleared his throat.

"So, if were like 39, and neither one of us is married, we're marrying each other cool?" He asked. I laughed and nodded.

"Definitely. Sounds like a plan" I said. A smile grew onto his face.

"I mean come on. You'd love to be Mrs. Gilinsky" he said. I sighed, smiling slightly.

"True true." I replied. He smiled and Sunday candy began playing.

"Ughhh I love this songgg" I said.

"Still?" He asked. I nodded and began singing it with Chance the rapper, not missing a single word. Jack smiled, and the guys came over, all sweaty and disgusting. Jack finished up grilling, and I helped serve everyone. We sat at one of the tables that was free and began eating.

"So Lina. I talked to Cameron, you know Dallas. You've met him" Johnson said. I nodded.

"Yes. Super cute. Really nice. Continue" I said.

"He wants to check your stuff out, and if there's ANYONE out of any of us that could help you big time, besides Stassie of course, is him" Johnson said.

"Hook it up then Johnson" I said. He smiled.

"I just wanted to be sure you wanted to do it before he got your number and shit." He said. I nodded.

"Lina, are you still thinking about that whole missions trip thing?" Sammy asked. I nodded. Growing up, religion was a big part of my family and life. I vowed to take a missions trip, to not only help people, but spread the word of god too. Like a personal thing I always wanted to do.

"Sofia and I are thinking maybe the end of this year with our home town church, depending on how everything goes for me with the whole clothing thing" I said. They nodded.

"I think you'll do great" jack said. I smiled and looked at my food.

"Yeah, I'm excited.." I said. After eating, we began cleaning up, and jack went to play football while I stayed behind with Johnson.

"So is it back?" He asked.

"What?" I asked.

"The crush" I said. I groaned.

"Not you too" I said.

"I mean, he hasn't stopped talking about you" he said.

"Sure." I said.

"It's true"

"Well were best friends what do you expect" I said. Johnson laughed a little.

"Oh Lina.. why are you so blind. You both are. Shit I'm gonna have to do something." He said. My eyes grew wide.

"No no no no please don't Johnson.." I said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because.. what if it ruins everything and makes it awkward and then we won't talk again and I'll lose my best friend over something so dumb oh my god.." I said. Johnsons face softened.

"You're rambling.. I won't okay" he said. I nodded.

"Besides. I'll get over it. I did it before" I said. Johnson nodded, and we finished cleaning up. We walked over to the lake where everyone was. The sun had began to set. I didn't realize how long we had even been there. Jack spread a blanket out, and the guys continued playing football. I sat on the blanket and watched all of them. I scrolled through snap chat and saw jack posted the picture of me, with the caption. 'princess by my side 😍'. My heart fluttered, simply at the sight of the heart eyes. But my heart dropped when I saw some beach blonde talking to him. She was beautiful. Long straight hair, tanned skin, her body fit, and she was super busty. She had the prettiest green eyes, and freckles. She was giggling and touching jacks arm. He was smiling, and running his hands through his hair. She had his phone and typed something in it. After a short good bye, I had managed to convince myself that jack and I were staying friends. I forced myself not to cry and I kept scrolling on my phone. I seemed to go ignored by everyone. Johnson walked over with a box of sparklers and his camera.

"Here, you look bored ill take some pictures of you" he said. I stood up, lighting the sparklers, and Johnson clicked away. I posed and was laughing because the guys were piping me up. They cheered me on, and Johnson was loving the shots he got. Once I finished with all of them, I grabbed my stuff.

"I'm gonna head home guys. I had fun." I said.

"We gotta do this again" skate said. I nodded.

"Let me know when you guys wanna meet again" I said. They nodded. After hugging everyone, Jack chose to walk me to my car.

I got in, and he shut my door.

"Night princess" he said.

"Night." I replied, almost blandly. I pulled off, and when I got home, I saw Johnson had sent me all the pictures, and he uploaded some. The caption was.

'she sparkles up our lives'. I smiled, and got ready for bed, dreading school and work the next day.
