Jack dropped me off, waiting till I got inside. I unlocked the front door, and was immediately engulfed by Sofia.
"I'm so sorryyyy" she said.
"Sof it wasn't your fault.." I said. She hugged me tighter, almost cutting my circulation off.
"No.. Lina I should've known..." she said. She let me go, and I put my bag down.
"I feel like he's done it before.." she said. I shook my head, shutting the door behind me.
"Not hard to believe" I said. She then winced, my guess is she noticed the lump on my head.
"Ouch.." she said. I slowly nodded.
"Yup. Ouch" I said. We made our way to the kitchen and she sighed.
"Who knew my best friend was such a creep" she said. I shrugged.
"I'm gonna order dominos." I said. Then, suddenly it was like a light bulb went off in her head.
"Wait.. why are you here so late?" She asked. I paused, looking up from my phone.
"I'm not late.." I said.
"It's 9 pm." She stated. I cleared my throat and completed my dominos order.
"Lina." She said. I looked up.
"Hm?" I asked.
"I want an answer" she said. I took a deep breath.
"I was with jack" I said.
"Jack. As in jack gilinsky?" She asked. I slowly nodded.
"Yes. Jack as in jack gilinsky" I said.
"And when was I gonna hear about this?" She teased.
"It just happened" I said.
"So what?" She asked
"Were.. okay.. we're friends again.." I said. She raised an eye brow.
"Only a matter of time" she said. I copied her, raising an eye brow.
"Till?" I asked.
"You're together" she said. I scoffed.
"Please. Lina don't deny it. You like him still which is why you were so hurt over everything. And GIRL does he like you. I can see it. Like I said only a matter of time" she said.
"Yeah right" I said. She shrugged.
"Watch" she said.
"I'm gonna go shower" I said.
"I'm gonna go shower" she mocked. I rolled my eyes and went to my bathroom. Hitting the shuffle button on my phone, and Slipping out of my clothes, letting the water run for a second. I got in the shower and let it hit my skin. Relaxing me immediately. My mind began to wonder, cloudy thoughts filled my head. Then jack popped up. I pushed him out immediately, and finished up my shower. After getting dressed, my food still wasn't done so I face timed my grandma. She came onto the screen and my heart swelled.
"Hi baby" she said. I smiled.
"Hi mommom.." I said.
"How are you?" She asked.
"I'm okay.. how are you? how's poppop and Nina?" I asked referring to my dog as well.
"Were all fine. Missing you!" She said. I felt myself tear up.
"I miss you guys too..." I whispered.
"How's California?" She asked. I filled her in on school, and work, and how I loved it.
"And I even ran into the guys.." I said.
"Oh Johnson and the boys?" She asked. I nodded. I filled her in on how they were and then I took a deep breath.
"I talked everything out with jack" I said.
"Really?" She asked. I slowly nodded.
"You know I love jack.. good.. I'm happy" she said.
"Yeah same.. I hated being mad at him" I said.
"Only a matter of time now.." she said. I furrowed my brows together.
"Till?" I asked.
"Till you guys are together." She said.
"Mommom.." I started but she shook her head.
"Don't deny it. You guys like each other. Watch" she said. I slowly shook my head, and heard Sofia call me.
"My foods here. I'll call you tomorrow?" I said. She nodded.
"Love you." She said.
"Love you more.." I replied before ending the call. I took my phone, and went to the kitchen. Sofia was already working on a slice of pizza, scrolling on her phone.
"Foods here" she said through a full mouth. I flicked her between her brows before serving myself.
"So question" she said.
"Ask" I replied.
"What would you do if G said he did like you?" She asked.
"I don't know?" I replied.
"Come on Lina.. you had a crush on him forever." I felt my cheeks heat up.
"And I'm over it" I replied.
"Yeah okay" she said laughing. I frowned, and continued munching on my pizza.
"You guys would be cute.." she said
"Oh god." I groaned. She laughed and walked away, a few seconds later walking in with Brandon. I handed him a slice and she showed him something on her phone.
"Wouldn't he be cute with her?" She asked. He studied the picture. Then looked up at me.
"Yeah they'd look cute together. But do you want my HONEST opinion?" He asked. I nodded.
"Please" I said.
"I think.. Lina went through something last night no one should have to go through. I think that she should focus on her, and not throwing herself into a relationship with just anyone. She's known Chandler her WHOLE life, and look what he tried pulling. Lina, focus on doing you and growing yourself as a person and brand. These guys out here ain't shit. As my cousin in law, you deserve the best." He said. Sofia smiled at him, then at me.
"This is why I love him" she said. I gave him a small smile. I suddenly felt sick to my stomach at the idea of Chandler.
"Thank you brandon.. please marry my cousin" I said laughing. He laughed and nodded.
"Working on it" he said. After we ate, I cleaned up, and went to my room. They didn't even notice. I plopped down on my bed, and started sketching some stuff I wanted to work on. My phone rang, and I looked at it. Jack was face timing me. I answered it, continuing to sketch.
"Yes G?" I said.
"Are you busy tomorrow?" He asked.
"No why?" I replied.
"Meet us at the park tomorrow. We're gonna grill and stuff. Can you make that rice mommom makes" he asked. I laughed and nodded.
"Sure. What time?" I asked.
"12. But it's technically 2 but you're late to everything so get ready at 12" he said. I rolled my eyes and nodded.
"Okay. See you then" I said.
"Night cutie" he said. My heart fluttered and I smiled.
"Night jackkkk" I said before ending the call.
