Ditching

After natsu decided we were going to ditch we snuck out and headed tworads the park. It was a nice day, it wasn't to hot and it wasn't to cold. The park itself was absolutely gorgeous. The grass was greener than I had ever seen it, and the sky was a brilliant blue.

"What do we do now?" I ask him. He shrugs and looks at me. "I don't know. The park was the first thing that came to mind." I nod and glance around. We weren't the only ones there. There was an elderly couple on a park bench by the swings and there were a bunch of little children with their parents standing somewhere nearby.

"Well, its nice today. Want to just talk for a little bit?" Be nodded and we headed to the nearest park bench. "So, uh what exactly did Erza tell you?" He just smiled at me. "Why? Afraid its something embarrassing?" He teased. I rolled my eyes. "Did she tell you everything or just the part about me saying that I liked you?" He shrugged. "I have no idea what your talking about." I sigh and chuckle at him. "Well fine then. Anything you want to talk about?" He thought for a second than started talking. "Yah actually. Its about what lissana said to you. I just want to ask if your okay." I smiled, he really does care. "What lissana said did bother me but I'm fine now. Why should I care what she thinks of me?" He put his arm around my shoulders. "You know, that's a great way to think of things." I nod in agreement. "My mom always taught me to be independant and kind. Its funny actually. Its like she knew she was gonna die. Mabey that's why she taught me to be independant." He shrugged and looked down at me. "Or mabey she just wanted you to be safe. Not get led on to a faulse hope." I smile at him. He really is the best.

"Want to go grab some ice cream." I look at were natsu was pointing. I nod and we start walking over there. "What will it be for the lovely couple?" The man smirked as I blushed. " um one strawberry and one chocolate please." The man nodded and began to make our order. "Your cute when you blush, you know that?" He laughs at me as I blush even more. "Oh shut up." The ice cream guy handed us our ice cream and chuckled. "Enjoy." We thank him and go back to our bench. "Did you mean what you said?" He looks at me. "You know when you said I was . . . cute?" He smiled and nodded. "Of course I did. Your the pettiest girl I've ever met." I blush and look down. "Thank you." He puts one arm around my shoulders again and we sit there for a moment enjoying it. I wonder if he is just doing this to get back at me for ignoring me. . . that would be horrible. I'm sure he would never though. Natsu is so sweet and kind, I don't he would do that to me or anyone else for that matter.

"Hey Lucy?" I look up at him to show him I'm listening. "Want to go catch a movie?"

"Which one?" He seems to think for a moment." Something scary?" I nod and we walk to the cinema that isn't to far way from here.

"Two tickets for 'insert movie name here'" natsu asked the woman at the counter. She gave us the tickets and natsu thanked her as we went inside. "Popcorn?" He asked. We walk tworads the consetion stand and get a large popcorn and two sodas. "Thank you." He nods and we head off to see the movie.

After the movie, school was over and as we walked past levy and erza ran to catch up. "Where did you two go?!" Levy asked me. "We went to the park and the movies. Oh and we got ice cream on the way." Erza was just smiling and levy had a slightly worried look on her face. " geez don't scare me like that." I nod and chuckle. "Anywho . . . you two sure hit it off didn't you?" Erza nugged me a bit, wiggling her eyebrows. Natsu scratched the back of his neck and I blushed. "Oh I knew it!!!!!!" They squealed at the same time. I sighed and shook my head. "You two are ridiculous, you know that don't you?" They just laughed and nodded. "Of course we do but we are the ones who got you two together, so you have to give us that." Erza said, speaking for levy as well. " fine let's just go."

As we were walking home, dropping erza and levy off along the way natsu and me kept talking. "So, are you free tomorrow?" I ask him. He shakes his head. "No sorry I'm supposed to go and see some family in the next town over."

"That sounds fun." He shrugs. "I'm sure you have at least some family you can go see?" I shake my head. "Not that they would want to see me anyway. Everyone on my moms side is dead and the few people on my dads side hate me just as much as my dad did."

"Dang that's harsh. I'm sorry." I shrug. "Not your fault. I do miss my mom though. She was the only one who ever cared about me. When she died I had to practically raise myself." He shakes his head in anger. "If your dad was still alive I would give him a piece of my mind." I laugh quietly at him. "I would sure like to see that."

As we round the corner to my house he stops and kisses my cheek. "See you later Luce!" I nod, blushing slightly. "Bye natsu." He walks away, going to his own house.

Once inside I feed plue and turn on the TV. Today has been a great day. I watch TV for a while longer then go to sleep. Wonder what I'll do tomorrow.
