The next morning, James was sitting outside on the balcony in the Sun, wearing black silk pajama pants and a pair of shades, nothing else. While sitting at a white wicker table set for two along with Kate who was in black silk nightwear that had lace around the top and bottom. The short dress only going to halfway down her thighs and small spaghetti straps. He sat back in his chair and looked at her. She stirred her tea then gently set the spoon down and looked to him. "What?" She asked him. "I always need to explain why I find you so beautiful to look at?" He said. She gave a little smile and lifted her tea then gently blew on it. "You're so gorgeous." He commented. She smiled "Hush now. I'm trying to drink my tea." She said. He smiled. Noah came through the doors just as she took a sip. James plainly expressed he was wondering why his brother just came in on their moment. "Sorry! My apologies." He said. "What is it?" James asked and sat forward. "The hit last night went haywire. They took down ten of his men but just as the last one fell, others came in and saw. They started shooting at them and we lost three of our own! Two others are being tended to." Noah said. "They killed and wounded my men?!" James shouted angrily. Kate looked at him worriedly and set her cup down. "Noah, please leave us. James, remain seated please." She commanded gracefully. "Of course." Noah said and gave a nod then pulled the door closed and hurried away. James sighed and sat back then took his shades off. "Let it out." She told him. "No. I don't want to in front of you." He said. "Fine. But this will begin to be a war. James. And you might lose." She said. He looked to her in the eyes. "I will not end up like my parents. And I will also not let you die. Nor my brothers. All will be well. I will cut off the snake's head, myself." He said. She sighed. Knowing there was no talking him out of this impending fight. "Before you do, at least let me do something to him first." She said. "Whatever my Queen wishes." He told her. "Go on then. Get banging about." She told him.
He stood and went to her then tenderly kissed her head. "Worry not, my dear. And enjoy your morning tea." He said. He left her on the balcony and commanded a member to watch over her. He walked onto the balcony and stood guard. James got himself dressed and he left their home. She spent the day with Daniel. He helped her prune the garden and wash dishes. They played a game together and laughed. Then in the evening they had supper together at the dining table, silently. He also helped with the dishes. Which made her smile. He liked her smile. Seeing her happy. "My brother did alright, choosing you." He told her. She put her fingers in his curly hair and messed it a little, which made him giggle. At nightfall they were in the living room. She stoked the fire. Two members standing guard in the room. "Do you think I'll be digging a grave?" He asked her. "Possibly." She said. As she sat down beside him and held him close, she wondered how the boys were. If any of them were shot. If they will still be ruling London. Just under the Queen, basically. Of course. "I hope none of 'em's been shot." Daniel told her. "I hope so too." She said and rubbed his arm gently. He was very much like a little brother to her. And she cared for him deeply. She cared for all of them deeply.
