"Where are we going again" Jon asks as I drive through the city. My doe eyed friend here was making sure he was being a bigger pain in the ass than usual.

"A night club downtown" I say again. I swear we've been through this conversation before. Because we have.

"Why are we going there? I don't even like bars" he pouts.

"Because Jon, we're out of the playoffs and can finally relax" I try.

"We should be training" he claims.

"We should be relaxing, reflecting. Then we will start rebuilding" I try.

"I don't drink when I'm upset like you do. Why do I have to come watch you drink yourself to submission" he asks. We pull into a spot at the same bar I was in the night before and I turn to look at him.

"You're my friend right" I ask.

"Unfortunately... yes" he says.

"Then I need you here with me tonight. I came here yesterday and I saw this girl. She isn't just any girl, she is by far the most beautiful and exquisite and dynamic girl I have ever laid my eyes on. The past few hours she's all I can think about and she's got me all sorts of messed up. I haven't even been able to look at another girl without wanting to drive here and find her. I dreamt about her, I feel like I see her prefect little face everywhere I go. I'm losing my mind and I need you to help me through it. I can't function right now and it's all because of this girl that I haven't even met yet. Just look at her and tell me she's not this extremely attractive, talented, powerful..." I trail off.

"Woah dude... you got it bad" he says.

"I know, and I need your help. Please" I beg.

"Alright man, I got you" he assures me.

We head in and sit on the same side of the stage. We were close enough Jon can get a good look but far enough away so I don't jump on stage and run off with her. We order food and drinks and wait for the show to start. The opening act goes on and on and finally it was time. The guy announces that it was time for her and her band to perform.

She emerges from the curtains in a white crop top showing off her toned stomach and all the muscles in her arms. The kind of arms that could hold me when I need it most. Her long legs looking a mile high in a black tight high waisted skirt and heels. I'm pretty sure her calf muscles were better than mine... and I'm a professional athlete. Her curves were so defined and I wanted nothing more than to hold her close to me. To lay my head on her chest and feel her heart beat in time with mine. Listen to her talk about our future together and believe every word of it. Rub my hands up and down her body feeling every inch of her. Then there's her hair, larger than life and oh so attractive. It was free and wild and always bounced when she performed. It looks like it would take forever to do but I feel like she was flawless without even trying. Her hazel eyes search the crowd as her bright red lips pull into a smile.

I was starting to think this was a bad idea because it was only making me feel worse about myself. My palms start sweating every time she moved and all my muscles tense up. I am so screwed.

"Hey everyone. How are we doing tonight" she asks in that voice sweeter than candy. Everyone was in their seats by now and was hooting and hollering when they should. There was a lot of people here just like the last night. I've never heard of her before but other people obviously have.

"That's great to hear. As you just heard I am Lizzie Star and my girls and band and I have a treat for you tonight. It's nice to see some familiar faces along with some new ones" she says in a soft tone. Her voice like silk passing through my ears. A smile finds its way to my face as my eyes follow her every move. She was really something.
