The Birthday Part 2

Elena's P.O.V.
Roughly an hour after Kol left, Bekah appeared with a load of dresses. "Beks what the hell is going on?" I ask laughing as I let her in. "We decided you need a birthday dinner, so the boys sent me told me to come over and bring dresses and shoes and makeup and we had to dress up. This is all so we can give you your present by the way." Bekah says in one breath. I laugh. "Come on. Lets go upstairs." I say smiling at Bekah before running ahead of her and opening the bedroom door to let her in.

2 hours later.

After two very painful hours of getting ready, Bekah and I are now ready to go back home.  

I am wearing this...

And Bekah is wearing this. It took us an hour to get dressed and put our make up on and an hour to do our hair because mine wasn't exactly easy. We run downstairs and hop in Bekah's car with the rest of the makeup, shoes and dresses and Bekah drives back home. We jump out of the car leaving the stuff in the car and walk through the front door and into the dining room. Dinner was fantastic. It was clear Nik had cooked, sonce they didn't have maids and Nik is the only one in this house who can cook edible food. "Okay. So what was so important that we had to have a fancy ass dinner before it can happen?" I ask. They all share a quick glance and Nik pulls something out of his pocket before pushing it towards me. I quickly open it and gasp when I see the contents of the small velvet box. Tears fill my eye. "I-is this my mother's moonstone necklace?" I ask stuttering. "Sure is Ellie. We weren't sure what to get you cuz you're so fussy." Kol starts. "And we were going through boxes full of stuff from the past 1000 years and we found a box labelled 'Ayanna and Romulus' and after digging through it, we found that and thought you might want it back." Nik finishes. I smile through my tears. "I thought I lost this in the fire. I thought it was destroyed." I look up at them. I vamp speed over to them all and wrap them in a huge hug. "Thank you so so much seriously. This means a lot to me." I say pulling out of the hug. I get a resounding sound of 'you're welcome' and decided to sleep over. "Alright can one of you drive me home so I can pack an overnight bag?" I ask and Nik stands up and wraps his arm around my shoulder. "C'mon Lena." He says and steers me out of the house. I climb in the passenger side and Nik drives me home. I clamber out and Nik stays in the car because he isn't invited in. I walk inside and run upstairs. When I come back down with my overnight bag, I see Miranda and Grayson lounging on the couch, watching some T.V. program. "Hey Miranda. Grayson. Do you mid if I stay at a friends house tonight?" I ask edging closer towards the door. Miranda turns her head around. "Of course dear. Go ahead. You're 18 now so it's no problem." Miranda says and before I walk out of the door. I freeze and spin around. "How did you know it is my birthday?" I ask confused. Miranda and Grayson laugh. "It was in your file when we adopted you." Grayson explains still laughing. "But we don't know what you like so we opted not to get you anything." Miranda explains. I nod. I walk out of the door now and jump into Nik's car. And he drives back and we watched movies and I slept in my room in between what should be Finn's room and what would have been Freya room.

In the morning.

"Okay. Who's going to drive me home?" I ask. "C'mon Ellie. I'll drive you." Kol says slinging his arm around my shoulder. "Alright then. Lets go then K." I say walking towards the door. "Yeah lets go E." Kol says smiling. "No. I like Ellie." I whine. Kol smirks. "Fine then Ellie." Kol say as he climbs in the driver's side. He drives off.
